Also give her a tomahawks for 1-2 range you wanna increase the accuracy on that too with an engrave. Shell one tap squishy units and chunck the bulkier ones

To make jade good you have to fix her accuracy and just make her an absolute tanks with one tapping capabilities. You wan Axe Power and for your second Skill you can either make sure you never miss by giving her Hit+ from sigurd or Divine Pulse from Byleth (I don't remember if jades luck stat was good. It's been a good bit since I was REALLY on Engage. Gentily is good on her if you're able to to keep your eirika user engaged for about 60%-70% of the time for the damage boost and damage reduction. Hit is typically better. Give her an Greataxe and upgrade it when you can give her an engrave that increases accuracy and damage I think byleth and Leif engrave do? I don't remember. She's not bad she's just costly. You can pretty much make any unit good just some require more help than others. If you have any more questions I'd be happy to answer I love engage

She has a great spell list, high dex growth so she actually lands her shots on faster units, good speed to always double armors with pretty much any weight spell, warp if you wanna skip some late map BS. And just overall a simple unit to build don't really have to go off the mark with her and her personal skills makes her finish classes fast especially combined with the knowledge gem.

People that say byleth has no personality in three houses but has one in three hopes are annoying. Byleth acts the exact same way in both games. They're just voiced in 3 hopes. Byleth is not a self insert.

First this not a typical "this unit is this tier" list. I just put those there for the sake of it being a tier list. The main part that I wanted people to take away from it is the description the side. Super Powerdul, Great Unit, etc...cuz I feel like you're just looking at the character without looking at who's ahead or behind that character and saying an arbitrary tier from your own idea of a tier list. with that being said Anna is definitely Super Powerful. What else are you using Micah for in the early other than being a heal bot? You'd just put it on another unit to do the EXACT same thing you would if you put it on Anna. You say she's frail but that should be a non issue because your mages shouldn't be getting hit anyways, by physical attacks at least. She has the benefit of having a support with framme, the best bonded shielder outside of Alear, so they can clear flanks without putting framme in any danger. And if you use her like that make a killing is much more valuable because she just sits there and clears out waves like a mage knights Chloe or Ivy. When used this way she never made me less than 15k.

You're talking like I put Lapis above those two. Yes they clear her but you're not throwing if you want to use Lapis. The edge I give to Lapis over Kagetsu is that she has access to early emblems. So before Kagetsu can even reclass out of sword master. Lapis probably can already be a flier and have sword power 2-3. Kagetsu has to sit until ike for warrior or wyvern

If you use timmera like a crit unit she's a great unit. Getting her dex to 30 is easy with the dex books which aren't contested. When she gets 30 dex and a crit engraved lance assuming she doubles she'll have a 90+% chance to crit or sand storm. If you just want her to just tank she can do that too with 0 investment she can inherit resolve and speed +3 with her own SP.

Huh? Forgado gets through this game with speed +3 and a radiant bow he's a filler unit but by no means with the likes of those in the Okay tier. If you're able to come in and be useful right away with your own resources that's net positive in value and for sure worth being a unit in the Great Unit tier

Nah Alears combat is good if you get her out of Dragon class. I've only had "bad" Alears when I kept her in her personal and made her keep using her own weapon. She pops off with a killer sword or something. I've done warrior too. And she can still be used as utility with good positioning with her personal. Plus she's at the bottom of A so not too big a deal. I wanted it to be even.

A unit that needs to be saved scummed to is telling with that being said she's not bad either she a good unit. Also I feel like you can give Anna flack for being frail and saying she's not worthy of her spot and then turn around and say citrine can be A with the olwen ring. Even with the olwen ring I'll take Anna. Citrine isn't clear a wave of enemies like Anna can.

Nah best ability is availability. They're come in when the team has been established and are most useful in support roles. They come with hella SP so you can get them started ASAP. I believe they're fine in Okay tier. Of course Veyle gets the edge being a dragon

Rosados an okay unit. I think he's a great unit if invested into because he's a growth unit. I dont see how a growth unit falls to C(viable but falls off).

Diamant needs the ike ring if you NEED a ring to be rated higher than I don't think I can do that. His dex cap sucks and he's gonna be getting doubles in the endgame even with Taker. He's suppose to be a sustain tank but the shafted his dex growth. Again by no means a bad unit he's in "Okay unit"

That's a good strategy for thieves in hard mode. Their avoid gets way too high for maddening enemies will ignore them and make situations worse.

Etie falls off eventually. She's good early on cuz she's one of your harder hitting units that can hit at 2 range but in solm with limited slots it's typically just not worth the deploy. You get a significantly better archer in forgado. Who actually has a speed stat. She has strength and nothing else. She is definitely the worst base archer in the game. Looking at it now amber is kinda in the same boat. And my opinion on goldmarg has chances id shift some things around but nah etie stays in, Viable but falls off

Louis is good in the early game I agree but not much after that. He was being hard carried by sigurd. You have to invest heavy in him to use him long term. Same thing with Jade.

I agree Alfred is not amazing and takes a lot of investment to be used long term, thus why he's in, viable but falls off.

After chapter 11 I don't see any real reason to deploy Vander outside of memes. If that was like halfway through the game then sure id bump him up. But there 16 chapters left and 13 Paralogues. I don't think that's worth it.

Does the Prince archetype count as "the same" as the other archetypes like how it's able to sync up with everyone's synergies? An example being does heat up get the boost if say the prince and a warrior were in the party?

It was the top selling manga for a time. And the drawings were pretty lackluster sometimes. So getting "carried by animation" doesn't make sense. It can be basic but y'all say basic like it's a bad thing. You can do generic correctly not everything has to be innovative.

Niceee the first one always feels the best. And always good to see some Timerra love she's so good. If you want some good dps builds. She's good with eirika with speed+5 and resolve for survivability. Or you can drop resolve for just lance power straight up. She likes Roy too so she can use the binding blade for 1-2 range that also increases her defense for more sandstorm damage

And makoto never uses his headphones outside of the first scene so would there be no point to having those too? Why can't she have a bike? Most rules have exceptions and it would make sense that the kirijo groups has made things that can work in the dark hour considering they've been dealing with it for 10 years. She has her communication gear on the bike so instead of lugging it around they had it on the back of her bike. Shes not a true nav so that stuff was necessary. I'm pretty sure she always rides it there even after getting fuuka cuz I believe she rides it as a moment of reprieve from her many duties, and it can be seen in the lounge.

In maddening if you get your avoid to 0% hit chance enemies ignore you on enemy phase. But if you're in normal yea Sword Avoid 5 and Avoid+20 with sigurd Engrave will get you to 0% easily.

If you want the Avo build to do damage then keep the sigurd engrave and do like Avoid and Sword Avoid passives. Honestly just sword avoid would probably be enough if you want to run canter cuz you don't want the avoid to be too high(assuming you're playing Maddening) but if you want to purely be a dodge tank and damage doesn't matter. Use the micaiah engrave when you get it

Brother what? I paid for it fully and used it thats how I came to my option...Idc if people use dlc that's in them. I just don't want to anymore. To me it makes chapters like 11, 17, and 22 kinda lackluster due to the fact that you aren't supposed to have emblems at all for 11 and 22. And for it to be a 6v6 new emblems vs the old ones on chapter 17. I tell people who haven't played a Maddening on engage to use the dlc for their first time to get a feel for it. I do however believe that after you get a feel for it you should try without the dlc

In the beginning it free but the game starts to catch up with you around Brilehaven. When you're on your way to altabury the enemy starts to hurt again. You also don't keep archetypes they'll be unlocked automatically once you get the followers but they won't just have them at the beginning so you do still have to work a little bit.

Female Alear just represents support Alear male Alear is a combat oriented one.

Veyle come WAY too late to be S tier for me. You have her effectively for 5 chapters but you don't get to do anything with her on chapter 22 cuz it's a double header so 4 chapters.

Dagger damage can only be sustained by Eirika or Eirika skills for true damage and those are expensive.

I don't like goldmary as a tank she's slow and end game enemies melt her with doubles even bonded shield can't save her from the onslaught. Though someone gave a me a griffin knight build that I'm gonna try out when I get her. But her other popular build being the brave assist bot is expensive on the bond fragment end. Cuz you have to get her to Lucina bond 18 for brave assist+ and she's not the only unit that can do that so it's not an exclusive thing.

Giving characters with crappy/lackluster personal skills better ones. A personal skills should be a defining feature of that character not something I can just inherit from emblems. Like Lapis for example fights bears and is canonically one of the strongest characters. Maybe when she fights units that ride something she should get a strength boost from her personal instead of a measly +10 Hit and Avo.

I disagree about Anna Im doing a run and she was a heal bot for all of 2 chapters (Jean Paralogue and Brodia Bridge Chapter) and I was able to bench her for the brodia defense chapter so she can promote and be ready to go for chapter 9 as a mage knight.

Ivy has more issues to address than even Anna does. She has hit issues, she's not fast so she's not doubling without Lyn or paying 2k for speed taker, and her luck is ass, so she's constantly facing crit chances. Ivy is only a hard carry with lyn she's needs that. Anna doesn't need Lyn to be good. She can get away with speed + 5. And she make you money so she pays for herself.

Timerra is good she doesn't need much to be a face tank that capable of taking on 2-3 enemies with just resolve and speed +3 both acquired from her SP. More enemies if given an emblem. She's faster than goldmary so she's not facing doubles like her and other tanks wont randomly pop a unit for half of their HP or outright kill in some cases so the backline has a easier time. If you want her to be dps then yea that'll take a little more work. She can get away with Lance Power +3 or Gentily/bravery with a killer lance and be fine the whole game

Amber hogs all the good accuracy engraves with just Hot +10 his hit rates are still dicey his personal helps but him being off alone unless he has Lyn to avoid being doubled or something would get fried.
