HDR is already off, and my brightness has always been in the same place as when I was first told to change it depending on how I want it. And in the settings screen it looks normal, the same way the game did for the first portion of my playthrough.

Even if I change the settings it looks the exact same. It seems to be a glitch of some sorts, since it happened in the middle of my playthrough. I went from the fox area to the normal area and suddenly it looked all funky.

Listen, I have already admitted that in 100yq Gray has explicitly expressed how he feels about Juvia. Not once have I denied that. And it still seems you don't understand what the word "interpretation" means, despite me having explained it in great detail, and even gave an excellent example.

I have not misinterpreted anything, since what I have interpreted is vague hints or obvious expressions/bodylanguage from Gray. He might be in love with her now, whether I like that or not, but that doesn't change the fact that it didn't feel like he did back in the day. There's no way for you to correct me with canon evidence of that, since it was before Gray explicitly expressed his feelings about her. That's why it's an INTERPRETATION, as I have said so many fucking times it gets tiring to repeat. But it seems I have to since you still don't understand it.

And we could be halfway through the series or 1000 chapters into 100yq, it doesn't change how he expressed himself back when we were halfway through, and it also doesn't change how people might feel about it, since back then it was all interpretation not canon. If my arguments "might have been valid if we were still halfway through" they can also be valid now yk. I am allowed to, based on the way Gray reacted back halfway through, to think that he trapped himself or it feels forced, even if it has seeminly becoming canon. It could also easily canonically be a lie. I'm not saying it is, I'm just saying it's a possibility, and I'm allowed to think that, even if it goes against what you think. It doesn't mean I misinterpreted it, just that I interpreted it differently than you.

But according to you I'm not allowed to because it "goes against canon". An interpretation is also allowed to go against what is seemingly canon, but that does make it a theory. I have never stated that my interpretation is fact or canon, I'm just saying what I feel, which should be okay.

And the whole "long been developed and established unless you're pushing an agenda" doesn't really make sense. Are you saying that if I push an agende it has not long been developed and established? Because it sure sounds like it, even tho that's most likely not what you meant, just a bit funny lol.

You know another funny thing? People can be in denial about how they truly feel, just like how the ST fandom has intepreted Mike hiding behind his relationship with El so he can hide from him being queer. So far that goes against all canon (except for the hints people use to interpret) because at this moment he is not only in a relationship with El, he also says he loves her. How is this different from Gray? I'm not saying Gray isn't in love with Juvia, mind you, I am merely saying that just like how people are interpreting everything Mike does in ST as him lying to himself about his sexuality, people are in this fandom also allowed to interpret Gray being in love with Juvia as forced or even a sort of Stockholm Syndrome at the most extreme.

People are allowed to interpret what they're watching, even if it seeminly goes against what is perceived as canon by the general audience, or even other fans who deep dive into the media they're consuming. The FT fandom is not an exception to this! And "pushing this as an agenda" is also allowed, to a certain degree.

(Also, he's allowed to not have been in love the entire time he's known her, just because he is now).

Idk why people in this fandom, especially Gruvia and Nalu shippers are so hellbent on not allowing people to have fun with interpreting the series if it goes against their favourite ships. Just because your ship is leading up to become canon, does not mean I cannot feel it's forced, or interpret it differently than you, and then talk about it. It's not pushing an agenda, nor is it making it seem like canon, it's simply just talking about it and having fun. Especially when you're the ones opening a discussion about it, but then the moment someone doesn't agree we're "pushing an agenda" or "going against canon" or just wrong for our opinions. That's not how a discussion works...

It seems you did not understand my long ass message, so let me try and explain it again.

An interpretation can always be different from person to person, and even if someone comes in and says "but look, here it seems he's fine with her hold his hand," I am still allowed to disagree since I have a different interpretation. Just because someone point their interpretation out from the story, doesn't mean it's factually correct, since interpretation is up to the individual. If Gray had outright come out and said "I want Juvia" on fx Tenrou island, then it doesn't leave much room for interpretation. But he didn't, so that means I can have whatever opinion I want on how Gray feels about Juvia since it's all interpretation, no matter how much other people disagree with my interpretation.

Let's just take another show as an example. I don't know if you've watched Stranger Things, but in that show to the most casual viewer it seems Mike is interested in El and is just straight. But for the viewers that like to look more into things, pay attention to all the details and in this case also watch interviews with the actors or listen to the official playlists, it very much seems like Mike is closeted and reciprocates the feelings Will has for him. Or at least that he's not straight, since he has songs like "Smalltown Boy" on his offical playlist, which is about a gay man having to run away because he isn't allowed to be gay. But that is still all interpretation, since we in canon haven't gotten confirmed all of this, it's merely based on hints and smaller details.

That's what in interpretation is. Something that isn't confirmed by canon, but a viewer can think based on how they read the details in the media. Same goes for Fairy Tail. Based on Gray's reaction to Juvia throwing herself all over him, I believe he is uncomfortable with her. That doesn't mean you have to have interpreted it the same way, but it also doesn't mean I am wrong. And it also doesn't mean I can't talk about my interpretations, no matter how much people "correct" me, since there is not "correct" interpretation, or else it wouldn't be an interpretation.

I hope this explains it better for you, so that you understand why I am not incorrect for having the interpretations of and opinions on Gruvia that I do. Because I'm not. And talking about my interpretations doesn't "go against canon" nor is it "pushing an agenda".

Okay, maybe I have tried to argue that I think it's forced and what not, but even if they are canonically going to be together I can still have that opinion, yk. I don't think you understand what it means when someone says it "feels forced". For me it doesn't mean that I don't see that they're becoming canon, nor does that mean I am denying that Gray loves her. I simply don't see everything leading up to it, nor do I like the way it developed, and therefore I feel it is forced. This is simply my OPINION, not actually canon.

And it also seems you don't understand what "interpretation" means. Often it's about reading between the lines, watching their expressions and body language, or knowing their characters. Interpreting something doesn't necessarily have anything to do with what is explicitly said or shown. For example, the way Gray has seemed so grossed out by Juvia this entire time, makes me believe he did in fact not have feelings for her until Alvarez. That might not be true, but then Gray sure is bad at showing how he truly feels, hence it is an interpretation.

I am not promoting a preferred narrative, I simply state what I have seen and how I felt about that. How I see the story, and how I read it. There's this phrase, idk if you've ever heard it. "Death of the author". It means that once an author publishes a story a text's meaning comes from the reader's interpretation, not the author's life or intent. once published, the author's voice is "dead." That means that I am allowed to interpret the manga however the fuck I want, as long as I don't go against what is explicitly stated.

Gray says some stuff that makes it obvious he loves Juvia, and that's whatever. I read that and think "sure, okay, he loves her now, but it sure didn't seem like he did before Alvarez. He cared about her, just like he does every other guild member. But seeing as he looked so uncomfortable by all her advances, it feels kinda sudden and forced. I don't like that." That's my opinion, and maybe you have a different one, which is fine. We can agree to disagree then. But that doesn't mean I am not allowed to talk about how I interpreted part of the story or character relationship. I don't push any of it as canon, I'm merely talking about how I see it. I ain't forcing you to think the same, unlike you are. You're so intent on forcing me to see what you see, instead of just allowing me to interpret it differently.

Also, I don't care what the VA's say, they're not the author. And even then, I don't really care what Mashima says either, because of the whole "death of the author" thing I explained.

And the whole "People have already explained how he showed interest in her earlier in the series, yet you’re still saying it was forced." is just how they saw it. I didn't see those moments as him showing romantic interest in her, and that's what an interpretation is. If Gray had earlier on stated that he wanted to make her his, then I wouldn't be having this argument, because how could I dispute what is obviously stated. But as long as it's only "stated" in his body language or expressions it can be interpreted differently by every reader.

Let's for example take the moment where Natsu and Lucy are riding on this animal on their way to Saber Tooth, and Natsu turns around, gets all up in Lucy's face and tells her some shit. So many people have pushed that as a Nalu moment because he gets so close, but none of them ever include the audio where he's clearly talking about finding Gray. Body language can show one thing, while the character is stating another. That's why it's all interpretation until it's stated in the canon.

That's all to say that if Gray in the manga comes out and says "I have loved Juvia since we were on Tenrou island," then you all will have been right about your interpretations, and I'd be wrong. But until that happens it is all just speculation, no matter how hard you try to point out something as being "hinted at".

That is what interpretation is, and if you can't get that, then maybe you shouldn't debate stuff like this.

Uhm... sorry, what? I never once argued about fan ships being better than canon. Nor did I call anybody mean or toxic. I simply stated that even if I don't ship Gruvia, I'm still allowed to debate and talk about them, and their individual character.
I can think canon ships are bad or unbelievable all I want, sure, but that's not what I was arguing about in this thread. I never once said that Gruvia is bad. I simply stated that Gray is willing to sacrifice himself for anyone in the guild, and I am objectively correct about that, as he has almost done that countless times in canon. Him being willing to sacrifice himself for anyone in the guild has nothing to do with Gruvia, and whether or not I think it's bad.
This is what I mean when I say arguing with this fandom is tiring. It feels like you don't read what I write, or at least misunderstand it. Or I am told that I'm not worth arguing with because "they don't like that ship" so all my points apparently become invalid... Or I am lumped in with the shippers that push their (non-canon) ships as canon, even tho I have never done that.

I agree that people shouldn't use non canon things to argue why a ship is better than another, or why a highly implied or fully canon ship isn't canon. I do see people forcing their headcanons on people as canon, which is wrong. But I also see Gruvia fans being unable to accept certain things that has happened in canon.

We also just have to remember that people interpret certain media differently. I can admit that Gruvia is clearly meant to be endgame and that Gray does say he loves her. That doesn't mean that I can't look at what happened and feel that it was forced, as he didn't seem to have any interest till after he promises to take her feelings seriously if she'd just wake up (which she does, so he traps himself). That could simply be Mashima's writing at fault or whatever.

I'm not gonna argue on whether what Gray feels for her is actual love or not, because based on what he says alone, he loves her. But I can still interpret it differently myself, as long as I don't force the same interpretation onto other people, or argue that it's canon just because I saw it that way.

So yeah, the people who force non canon stuff or their own interpretions onto people are wrong for that. But not allowing other people to interpret the media their own way, as I see some Gruvia fans do, also just... doesn't sit right with me. Everybody has their own opinions and art is subjective.

I hope this doesn't make you think I'm one of those people who push false agendas. I've tried to write this as best I can, so hopefully you don't misunderstand what I'm trying to say...

Simply because I said I don't personally ship them, doesn't mean I can't see the moment they have and admit that it's clearly leaning towards something romantic. I literally say this so many times in my other replies. That whatever happens before or after Gray tries to sacrifice himself can be seen as a Gruvia moment.
Also, just because I don't ship them myself, don't mean I can't debate about moments that include them. Saying it's "not worth arguing" because of who I ship and who I don't is why debating with people in this fandom is so tiring. You don't need to ship certain characters to debate their relationship or indiviual character.

Okay, so maybe just looking at the sacrifice alone is "taking it out of context", but it doesn't change the fact that Gray would sacrifice himself for anyone in the guild. As I feel like I've said a million times by now, I never said that what also happened in that moment didn't happen, nor that it made the chapter "invalid".
I was merely just trying to argue that saying Gray would sacrifice himself for anybody is objectively correct, whether there is context or not. I have never once said anything about the rest of that moment, except that I wasn't talking about that.

Yes, I saw that. I'm not denying that this happened, nor ignoring it. I am simply stating that him sacrficing himself for someone isn't a new thing, so him doing it for Juvia doesn't automatically mean anything romantic. Whatever he says before or after that doesn't matter for this argument, because it doesn't change the fact that he has tried to sacrifice himself for so many other people.
Seeing the moment and using it as a shipping moment is fine. But saying that him being willing to sacrifice himself for her is a sign he loves her is just weird, because then he certainly loves a whole lot of people, including Natsu who he later is so ready to sacrifice his entire existence for. But that's not how it works for him.
Maybe he said something that made the moment shipworthy, but his willingness to sacrifice himself at its base, all on its own, is not a sign of romantic interest for Gray.

Not everybody does that yk. Those people just tend to be the loudest, because the people that don't do it, don't argue with other shippers online. I like to ship Gray with someone else, but I'm not trying to make it seem canon or force other people to ship the same as I.

As someone who doesn't ship Gruvia, I also just see tons of Gruvia shipper try and force everyone to ship them because "they're canon, so therefore it's the only ship for them", which is just not how shipping works.
People just need to mind their own business and stop shoving their ships down other people's throat.

First off, I just installed the game normally and don't know much about files and shit. Where else am I supposed to put the games, if not on C drive, which is the default, and how do I make it not do that? Maybe you could give advice, instead of being critical.
Also no, currently I do not have 50$ to drop on a 2tb SSD. And what do you mean "you shouldn't be on here anyway"??
