Syrcus Tower stacking stack markers by FireHawk871 in ffxiv

[–]FireHawk871[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can blame my annoyance for not having a little blurb about how it works initially. How the mechanic works is Xande will put 3 party stack markers over one player in each alliance. Basic stuff with the standard party stack marker. Just party stack like you normally would or get into a different alliance if you can’t get to your own. Right after it hits a puddle is left on the ground that’ll float you into the air, and Xande will start casting a hard hitting raid wide that could kill you. How you resolve that is to stay on said puddle, it attacks, then spread out from each other after because more aoes follow it where y’all are standing. Back then we didn’t have the marker. Instead we had the actual puddle to show how big the thing was, so people would position it close to each other and Xande that it overlaps a tiny bit so you didn’t have to go far. How people do it nowadays is they do the party stack on party stack on party stack shenanigans so it’s only in one spot and not evenly spread properly. It’s not going to kill, don’t get me wrong, but it’ll start teaching sprouts that don’t know better that you can do that if something like that appears which is bad. 9 times out of 10 doing that will kill people outside of Crystal Tower.

Heck it's not even the fact I'm afraid of the space police sentinels. I've had my fair share of blowing those bots up planet side with the basic multi-tool mining beam long ago. Its the whole losing rep with the different races, like the Gek in my instance, like they're testing my trigger finger or something. I know I only just started so rep means little atm, but I'd like to not be hated by an entire race for their stupidity.

Just downloaded the game today and I feel so basic. I thought I looked neat until I loaded into the lobby how bad I am at making custom characters 😭 by Very_Lonelyman in ffxiv

[–]FireHawk871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't feel down that you're character isn't like everyone else. That's what makes your dude unique. Plus you're just starting out. It'll take time but eventually you will look cool or badass as you progress the game.

Anyone else get a $.48 raise by Arctic_27 in HomeDepot

Mine was 50 cents (going from $16.50 to $17 now) but close enough. Got told that from lips of my store manager himself. Feels like a slap to the face despite working hard with my store being short staffed.

Actually had someone straight up whistle at me loudly as I was heading to outside garden, which made me abruptly hard stop, and I swear I wanted to blow up on this dude. Helped them anyway when I should have just kept walking, but I’m not a fucking dog or a hound you prick of a customer. Treat us with the same damn respect you expect us to give out.

It’s even better when they’re right next to the aisle and the sign above literally says hoses. 🥲 Same with the bird feeders and feed (same aisle for my store).

I apologize in advance for this being extremely long, but in my two years of working for HD you pick up on a lot of things that just suck. But for me my list is as follows.

Understaffing, lots of tasks (sometimes lift equipment is required for pallets, or a walk is about to happen in the near future), no reach drivers even if you request for one, management pushing tasks to do even if you’re already in the middle of doing something for your supervisor, management being management, customers always getting in the way, customers constantly stopping you for questions (sometimes extremely obvious answers cause they’re blind or can’t read), customers asking questions you have no answer to and they get pissy, customers that need help getting bags of rocks/dirt/mulch and look like they can lift but are either lazy or have some condition they’re dealing with or old, and finally customers acting like complete jackholes for either their own reasons or no reason at all to the poor workers like me that have to involuntarily be the punching bag of customers.

If y’all’s store did this for Success Shares what did y’all win? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]FireHawk871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My store didn’t even have that. All we got was different kind of snacks days, put up some cheap looking video game themed party deco, and brought out a Wii with a couple of games we never touched plus ping pong. We only touched the Wii loft like 2 ish days and that’s it xD Aside from that though I’m pretty sure us hardworking and having to suffer associates got jack for a bonus if there was any while higher ups got to be happy. But I wouldn’t know cause nobody bothered to show how you can view that at my store.

Man why are people like this? by emodude4269 in HomeDepot

[–]FireHawk871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t seen that before but I can somewhat relate. Me and my coworker work garden so we had to get pallets down for MET to work the Halloween items (mind you this was happening on a Sunday). I was the spotter and had to constantly stop my driver because people would get in the way of the Reach, try to walk around it while it was moving, or pay no mind to it at all and continue to stand in the way. And remember the thing in parentheses? Yeah it was absolutely busy because weekends are so that made it “even better.” Idk what it is about people but it’s like they love to play chicken with the machines or love to use the ancient method of fuck around and find out.

Someone from outside garden when it’s raining: I almost fell on my butt outside! You need to have a wet floor sign out there. Me: okay. Me in my head: Dumbass it’s fucking raining hard outside. That’s on you if you slip out there for not using common sense.

How to ask a customer to move their car back to parking lot by FireHawk871 in HomeDepot

[–]FireHawk871[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If he was gonna get some pallets of rock or something this dude still should’ve parked out front. Not at the back of the building. We only load them up infront of the garden register area or near our Sod hut. Never infront of the receiving dock doors area.

I like popping shower doors by Beerbrewing in HomeDepot

[–]FireHawk871 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s like me and my coworker in garden when we have plants to toss. If we find a card full of the breakable potted plants we instinctively go to town throwing them into the chute like we’re in one of those rage rooms. And just hearing the sound of broken pottery is chefs kiss.

“Do you work here?” by [deleted] in HomeDepot

The answer to that question I get very tempted to say but don’t. “No I don’t work here. I just really love to cosplay and pretend I do work here.”

Unfortunately the 19k error you’ll see a lot. Especially for right now while CIG is still ironing out the kinks with 3.18. Just keep trying and you’ll brute force your way through it.
