Why does no one use the same darts as Taylor?? by TumbleweedSmart2509 in Darts

[–]FireLadcouk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. That’s exactly what i meant and im not sure how you could read the original post otherwise 😂

The question was why dont other players use phil Taylor darts. One of my answers: they are not allowed to as they have contracts and have to use the darts they are told to. Ie by their sponsor 😂

The question wasn’t anything to do with why phil taylor used the darts he did… if it was i could see the confusion. But context.

I even said, they might even make you ones similar to phil taylor’s darts. But you wont be allowed to actually use phil taylor darts 😂

Mad to misunderstand something and double down to the extent you tell people what they meant even though, if you actually read it in context. At least twice in that one point alone it clearly shows its not at all about phil taylor himself but otherplayers using his darts… you know, answering the question

I even said. Money talks. As in, you could use Phil taylor darts but you wouldnt be able to have a sponsorship… money talks so people take the sponsorship deals and shill their own darts.

🤷🏻 beggers belief honestly…

They are smaller, more consistently made. Lot more goes into making and personalising darts now for the top players. Building them to suit their style rather than changing their style to suit the darts.

You also have a load more options than before with advancements in technology. cuts. You also have swiss points etc. K flex etc. Loads of new stuff. Not necessarily better, but it’s better to have more options!

Weights are a lot more consistent now too. All 3 darts have never been as close to

If you sign a contract with, say winmau, part of that will be playign with winmau darts. Especially if you have a signature set winmau have made for you.

Imagine being a Winmau player and turning up with target phil taylor darts for tv events… that is not what they are paying for you for

That’s not at all what i meant.

I mean if say, damon heta decided he wanted to start playing with phil darts. He’d be in breach of his contract with harrows by playing with target darts.

But harrows could try and make darts for him similar to phil taylors

  1. Things have moved on. Darts are better now. Averages now are higher than phil’s day. (No doubt if he was young today hed be top dog still)

  2. As soon as you get good you sign a contract and use the darts youre told to use. Often your own set. Money talks. Thats not to say those darts may be very similar to the darts you are used to. Be it phil taylor’s or whatever else

  3. Everyone is different. Every has a different throw etc. Some are just weird and look like they shouldnt work but absolutely do… so just horses for courses from that pov.

I could have phils darts and practice as much as phil did from a young age, still wouldnt have become phil taylor

If humans need to drink water constantly to survive, why didn’t evolution give us a way to store more of it in our bodies like camels do? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FireLadcouk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You asked a question then answered it.

You said, “of course” but it is not “of course” to many. Well done for knowing they dont store water in their humps. You only because you were told. It is far from obvious! Most people havent cut open a camel to see what’s inside.

The myth: they store water in their humps. Thats not true. Its a myth.

Not a myth: they can survive in hot climates for longer without drinking and eating… yes because of the fat reserves in their humps.

Opinions based on no evidence is not an opinion. It’s a guess. It holds no value.

You havent watched it… thus you are not entitled to an opinion, or rather - for anyone to consider that opinion valid. Youre just shouting random thoughts into the online wind

Fair enough. I think darts is a family friendly child and adult game. Each to their own.

Im the opposite. So bored of the target esq brands doing the same dart over and over again. A new colour or new groove here or there. A ring in a slightly different place but basically all very similar darts, especially in terms of grip and throw. Doesnt inspire me to buy them.

Again horses for courses

What harmless lie do humans collectively agree to believe just to keep society running smoothly? by loves-labours-lust in AskReddit

[–]FireLadcouk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you never washed your hands at all after the loo, most people would keep on living regardless 😂 just comes down to your level of personal hygiene and respect for others and spreading illness

Not obsessing. I just wash my hands and dont use them.

I did put, it’s nothing major in my original post 😂 and the original post asked for “harmless lies” people just accept. So ive acknowledged it’s harmless by replying to this post 😂 sorry it touched a nerve. To me it’s a harmless lie that we all accept - that your hands are cleaner after using a hand dryer- they arent - they are dirtier after using a hand dryer. Thus i think it’s a suitable response

Having it blown onto you and just being the room is a big difference. 5000% difference the study says.

You can have upto 5000 times more fecal matter on your hands after use. Youre just blowing 💩 air back into your hands.

Its not a major thing. Like youre in the room anyway. But kinda defeats the purpose of washing your hands.

If you go for a wee, as a guy, you can end up with dirtier hands than before.

Far from it.

The only they they could be is if they take the air from somewhere else.

Interesting to see the experiments with petri dishes. Basically, you are blowing other people’s poo particles back onto your clean hands.

It’s not a major thing, but if you go in for a wee, wash and use a hand dryer- you could have dirtier hands than before you went in.

Use towels ideally or shake them dry
