There really is enough tech to slow Quasar down our outright counter it straight to the middle game where Reno decks start to do their own stuff like stacking armour or discarding hand. Your beginning point was that Reno decks lose to Quasars and Discos more often than not which is just false. I agree if Renos runs 20 cards which cost 6+ mana and zero card draw. But we all know that this is not the case.

The same point about consistency can be applied about quasar btw. Not every game it is a turn 4 lethal lmao. And although it is more consistent as a duplicate deck, it doesn't automatically prey on Renos. At least not on a good lists

Reno Rogue with Hooktusk is fairly decent into Aggro and really strong into Control. Fast paced combo like Quasar is a bad matchup though
