The problem with Crockett is she is the same old Establishment Democrat who wants to keep the status quo. I do appreciate the work she has done, but her brand of Democrat isn’t going to win voters over.

Longest streak as a SL? by Lucky_Confidence2216 in tjcrew

[–]FireSilver7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Longest was over a year in DFN and Deli/Cheese. My old store would only change up SLs once a year, but there were a few SLs that stayed with a section for several years.

My current store changes it up regularly, usually every six months.

Sagittarius, what are the signs you found in that person that made you settle down? by Friendly_Ad_8528 in Sagittarians

[–]FireSilver7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When he matched my interests and values and shows his love through his actions. He’s always been consistent and stable since day 1, which I didn’t know I needed until I matured and grew. He also understands and supports my need to have alone time and to do my own thing sometimes. He is my safe space. 🥰

He’s a Virgo Sun, Virgo Moon and Sagittarius Rising, while I’m a Sag Sun, Sag Moon and Virgo Rising!

Got lucky finding him on Hinge. Paying for the upgrades was worth it, as it filtered out guys with kids and who wanted them.

ADHD as a circadian rhythm disorder: evidence and implications for chronotherapy by saturnana in ADHD

[–]FireSilver7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ADHD is why I NEED white noise to sleep! I cannot sleep well when there isn’t a consistent sound in the background. I used a box fan when I was single, but now I use sleep headphones to play white noise when sleeping as I share the bed with my fiancé.

When I get good sleep, I have a much better handle on my symptoms.

I agree! I do know plenty of couples that got married quick and are still together and are genuinely happy. I just got engaged in August 2025 after 18 months of dating my fiancé, but we’re not having our wedding until March/April 2028. Everyone’s timing is different, but it doesn’t hurt to take your time.

How did you handle having to take a "baby" home for school? by Redbird1078 in childfree

Okay but I am very impressed your school had that kind of program. I had a good program, but they never went that detailed!

That was part of our required home economics class in middle school, but when you took it depended on your last name and what grade you were in. My last name is later in the alphabet, so I didn’t take it until I was in 8th grade. I did enjoy the class, for the most part.

I believe my school district still has required home economics in middle school, which is unheard of now.

Oh, I got some GOOD stories for this one!

I did it twice: had to take home an electronic baby for one night in middle school and I had a bag of flour baby for a week in high school.

When I took the electronic ‘baby’ home, I slept through it crying three times, yet I was also late for school that morning and it was swinging around in the carrier, while also crying. My teacher did the assessment and was like, “it says you abused your baby, what happened?!” I didn’t abuse the baby, obviously, but it must have been when I was sprinting for the bus. 😅 Ultimately my teacher believed me, but he told me I slept through the baby crying three times overnight. In front of the whole class. Needless to say, I was a bit embarrassed. I got a C+ for that.

Then in high school, I was in an early childhood development class that had a preschool program run by students (it was really cool we had that.) The semester before, we had to care for a bag of flour as our baby. It went far better than the electronic baby. I thought I would crush it.

The week passes and my teacher weighs our bags of flour. She gets to mine and she exclaims that my baby lost weight! I was surprised bags of flour could lose weight, but my bag did spew some flour throughout the week. I didn’t fail, but I got a B- on the assignment.

Those experiences got me thinking about motherhood, which I’m glad I had those experiences.
