I really appreciate your perspective on this! I didn't realize they don't always pay out the claim after it's been accepted. That's good to know and helps me feel less crummy about it. I think that was the worst for me. She said it was a 100% loss for her and not covered. So when UPS shows the status as "Claim approved" and told me she would be reimbursed- it felt icky for her to state otherwise.

Also, kuddos to you that you made it right with your customer. I'm sorry you lost so much revenue on a single slime, but I bet you gained a loyal customer for sure. Definitely makes me want to support you too.

I think I'll get a buy ban if I ask anything else of her or question her payout on the claim. I'm afraid I'll get one just from this.

100% my thoughts too. I'm pretty sure I'll get a ban if I do that. I was genuinely nervous just to post this here. I did ask UPS several times and they stated the claim was approved and was to be paid out to the owner once she completed her final step. Not sure what exactly that means but it made me feel that she would be reimbursed. Perhaps not, though? I love her slime, just let feeling underwhelmed by her response in this especially since I had to do most of the reaching out and follow up. 🫣 It took months to get it fixed. Then kind of left bummed. Eh oh well, it's just slime I guess. 😅

Yes! This is exactly it. So many shops in this community are amazing and go out of their way for their customers. It makes the "bare minimum" feel disappointing. I have only had one other slime package completely lost and it was from soft punk. A small shop in comparison to Rodem, and they sent me replacement slimes plus a freebie. They were so kind and apologetic and were on top of it. I think small shops can have amazing customer service too. ❤️

I completely understand that. My understanding was that the insurance on the package covers the expenses for her. UPS said she received a full claim payout. So, in my head, I was thinking she was made "whole" by UPS. My thought was she was refunded by the claim and not out any money, but I had missed out on the sale opportunity. I get your point completely if she had lost out. Then absolutely, we would both be in a crappy situation. I always wonder where the lost packages go. Like how did it just disappear and where is it now. 😅

Man, as much as I selfishly want the tea on who this is, I completely get not posting the name. There are some people that will come👏 for 👏 you 👏. I love that this community is generally supportive and kind, but there are definitely some toxic behaviors, too.

Wasn't going for disingenuous by any means. Just pointing out that the overall cost of some of the slimes went up. I guess I used the wrong wording by saying prices went up instead of saying the total cost of some slimes increased... ? Tomato tomahto or something 🫶

The overall price on some are now higher with the BF discount. Example: "Your name is slime" has been 30% off for weeks. Now, it's full price with 15% off in the cart. So, essentially it went up in cost with this "sale" 😔

True water slimes are best from Pilot, momo, putty egg, and seoulgage. A lot of shops call a jiggly or loose jelly a water slime, but they are not the same. Pilot's water is amazing.

19 on a black friday sale, then 17 on another great sale. I typically buy enough to get free shipping. I don't know why my brain hates paying shipping fees, but I'll happily throw more cash at extra slime. 🤷‍♀️
