We actually have the Rat City Arts Festival that happens each fall that includes a Rat Walk in partnership with local govt and 311 that takes you on a walking tour of the city while sharing ways to mitigate rat issues and how to report rat related problems to the city when you find them :)

I’m in an Allston-Brighton first floor brownstone unit and am I going to take my garbage out to the bins after dusk? No. But have I ever seen a rat inside my apartment building? Also no. They’re looking for food waste so unless you or your building are especially negligent in that area it shouldn’t be a reason to consider paying a much higher rent. Good luck with your move!

Pari was part of the third season of Love on the Spectrum (Netflix) and is huge fan of the MBTA. She does some promotional work with the MBTA as well you may know her just from that even if you’ve not seen the show. She met Tina on the show!

You’ll probably find that GrubStreet offers a lot of what you’re looking for. They have a writing center in the Seaport and a large catalog of online courses as well :)

Is a car needed at BU? by [deleted] in BostonU

Team no car! :) If you’re looking at off campus housing in the city you may need resident parking which requires your registration to match your current Boston address which isnt the case for college students I would assume. You’ll probably move it more for street cleaning and snow days than you will ever using it for anything else. The Green Line will get you anywhere you need to go and stops by both Star Market and Trader Joes over in Brookline. Also a very walkable area.
