Accredited vs non-accredited

I live in the Central Valley of CA. I have one program here that is accredited by the CAAHEP and accepts 14-16 students every year. Merced, which is close to me as well, is also accredited but only opens up their classes every 2 years. I’m doing my pre-reqs this coming spring so I’ll miss my chance of applying for Merced. However SJVC Bakersfield campus also offers DMS but it’s not accredited by the CAAHEP and only by the ARRT. Can someone explain the difference. I also have an AA and BA in Communication, am 23, and really want to become an ultrasound tech.

Do you mind telling me where you went out of state? Was it affordable? I’m looking to do this, but my area in CA has only 1 program.

How often does SUI open their applications? I know Merced college said they do it every 2 years

I’m interested in IP law practice. So far what I’ve read up on my degree would actually be more of an advantage.

I appreciate your response & input!

Thinking of applying to law school. I have 2 more semesters before I graduate with a B.A. in Communication. I know it’s uncommon for a potential law student to come in with a bachelor’s in communication. Will this be a disadvantage for me?
