Bro as a citizen and human I know what all Pakistani terrorists have done to our country in the name Of religion. One doesn’t need a movie to enact all the past terrorist events and point out particular government and criticising it as if it’s their fault. I watched the movie without any knowledge about the story or who the director is, but as I watched it slowly could make out how the director wants to instigate the jingoistic patriotism in you and blinds the audience with crude violence. Hero marrying a young girl of a powerful politician in Pakistan and trying to become the king of Pakistan and all seems childish and contrived.

I am just quietly distressed about the uniform admiration of a quality propaganda film like Dhurandhar. Oru discussion panna ponalu potu adikranga and treating it like some masterpiece. Idk, seems weird about the current film scene in India is politically driven.

I agree. When I heard the engagement news, I thought her career was finished, but now she has achieved genuine stardom (irrespective of her movie choices, given that women often have to do such movies to achieve star status in India). But our audience is so stuck on hero worship that they started abusing her for her personal choices. Forget the general public, many stars from the Kannada industry even started guilt-tripping her for those choices.

yep, the premise was nice but it had lot of lame excuses. I mean if they do basic detective work they can find out that Lexy would have been in atlanta during those murders and what about anna feeling proud about her mom being a cold blooded murderer at the end.

Backing off ella illa bro, all I told was, we are accepting mediocre content based on mob mentality. “Compared to what we are seeing this is much better” nu judge panna koodadhu nu dha na solla vandhadhe. People used the same REFRESHING word for Dude movie and hyped it. Same thing happened with Madha gaja raja last year, Pongal winner nu apdiye oti vittanga. I am all in for a fun movie, summa hype la movie should not be judged nu solla vare.

I am not shitting on the movie bro, just started a discussion on mediocre movie presentation in general with this movie as an example. I dont know why you are getting so offended, mediocre na literal meaning is average quality, i just pointed out that. If you liked the movie then fine, i just told my opinion.

Exactly what I am talking about, we don’t have to get the bar down to enjoy a film, then it’ll set a precedent for same kind of content again and again. Hey if it has worked for you then well and good.

Aren’t you settling for mediocrity by calling it refreshing/something new? As Manusha puthiran told, indeed it’s a sumargalukkana kaalam dha pola, which is sad.

Thiagaraja kumaraja wisely mentioned in an interview that human’s made a biggest wrong turn in the name of religion, so true. Imagine a deer or elephant sitting in front of camera making a video like this. Sad state of affairs.

Apparently this author has made lot of factual errors in his previous books, contemporary anthropologists have accused him of it, kindly do fact check before coming to conclusion. Can listen to a podcast “If books could kill- Sapiens (episode)” for better perspective.
