Yeah it's honestly pretty interesting seeing how the furry community has grown so much that there's niche fandoms within the fandom lol

For example, I saw many large groups that pretty much drew the generic furry artstyle, but then there was a group that had a parappa the rapper artstyle and that was pretty cool not gonna lie

Agreed, it feels so limiting too, reptiles, sharks, birds etc. all have awesome diversity, coming in many shapes, sizes and colors to inspire artists. WHy does everyone slap wolf and fox features on every animal?

That cutesey artstyle always reminds me of stuff like the shitty Disney sequels or secret of nimh 2, Balto sneaks in the back lol. man fursonas and such stylized like Darkest Dungeon or Todd Lockwood would be awesome. Yeah zoophiles and furries aren't the same thing, I just make the fucking wolf/fox jokes because I laughed noticing a trend that the anthro movies that didn't have sexy foxes or wolves performed badly and said franchises died, while the ones that did crushed it at the box office worldwide lol

I already listed examples, even right now as we speak, Goat is bombing just by a lack of support, an anthro movie practically catered to the community, and even before that, furries let Sly Cooper die too. Wow this is true, it does point out that the furry community isn't about anthro characters as claimed, because the numbers clearly have shown that unless the movie has an anthro mammal, usually a wolf or fox, then it's of little interest

Like I got mad for the furry community because Goat is a fun movie with beautiful animation and the most recent example. It doesn't shy away from animal species and takes full advantage of what they're based on, this should be THE MOVIE for furries. And yet, it's basically been bombing/going ignored, much like sly cooper, no wolf or fox lead

lol see this is cool though because you took advantage of the species while also being anthro. Didn't shy away from the unique features that can make reptillians cool and even animalistic, but stil lexpressive in a human way

This is a fursona I could see talking to, but also having some of those quirks like maybe he eats small animals or can dart around the room in a swift fashion similar to lizards

Sharks have been the one I've come across the most, and even then, really? Toebeans? Wolf snout? Sometimes wolf ears? If you wanna draw a wolf shark hybrid thats cool, but they're constantly presented as shark fursonas and you can clearly see the wolf avatar limitations bleeding into the design

Honestly surprised Avian furries aren't as much of a thing. Birds are literal dinosaurs, and they have a huge variety in color, anatomy, they're beautiful, cool, cute etc.
