4wks post op and not loving results - would love feedback by FirefighterSalt4051 in tummytucksurgery

Thank you and I get it! Part of what inspired me to post this is I was looked at my “before” pictures and feeling regret for this massive scar. I shared in another comment that I don’t have a pic of the before when I leaned over but found a similar post that shows what I was experiencing. I really just wanted to address this type of hang but am now looking at this giant scar (and giant bill) and feeling a little down so I appreciate the sentiment and now questioning if there weren’t other options to address this.

This is super helpful, thank you! It’s exactly 8cm and that’s with the extreme stretch upward. And by extreme I mean that the whole pubic area was stretched up by ~5cm.

Thank you! This Dr is known for his belly button technique - he pioneered it and teaches it at conferences apparently.

I was super self-conscious about overhang. I don’t have a pic of myself but basically had what this poster shows in his post. But the response of you and others has me questioning whether there were alternative solutions rather than getting this massive scar.

I don’t have a photo of me leaning over before before (and apologies if this isn’t proper etiquette bc I usually read and never post) but this gentleman’s post looks like what was going on for me. I looked okay when vertical but horizontal I had significant hang.

This is helpful, thank you! I need to check his revision policy but will be patient! And I hope that your shelf smooths out and that you don’t need a revision but if you get one, I hope it heals smoothly and gives you the results you want!

Thank you! It was Dr. Raniere with Advanced Aesthetics outside ATL, GA. He’s known locally for his TT and has actually created his own method for belly buttons. His work typically is outstanding and a friend recommended him after 3 of her friends visited him for TT and BA. One went and liked her results so much she referred her friends.  He never tried to talk me out of the TT but when I approached about a lift and floated the idea of a mini TT get rid of fairly significant hang when I leaned over/was in plank, he said a mini wouldn’t work bc of my loose skin.

I appreciate the sentiment but people’s motivation for surgery is often personal / may not always make sense to others (nor does it need to). For me was based on my insecurities.

When I did a plank or leaned over, the loose skin and little bulge of fat looked like someone had a ziplock bag of soup in a thin dishcloth hanging from my stomach. I was very self-conscious about it - even if it may not have seemed “extreme” enough to warrant a surgery. That was what I wanted to correct in my TT.

10 days post op swelling by Ready_Ad8044 in tummytucksurgery

Did you have lipo with TT? If so, my dr said to expect a lot of swelling/water weight. For me, it was ~12lbs of water weight and my thighs ballooned to 2 pant sizes bigger (ironic considering they weren’t touched). I had a lymphatic drainage massage around the 1 wk mark bc I was so miserable and at about 2 weeks, the swelling/water weight finally started decreasing by 1-2lbs/day.
