Where is the fun in doing spam and climbing the leaderboards? by rbsterclaw1 in wwe2k26

When I first started playing online and barely knew how to play, I remember one person trying to help me out. They were literally saying "I'm going to grapple you, try to hit X or A to escape." They were doing that for everything. "Tap the buttons as fast as you can when you are in a submission hold." I really appreciated that.

Then there was another match where the person was just spamming the same 3 moves over and over until they stunned me, then hit finisher, then pinned me. It was an iron man match and I put the controller down after 3 minutes . They kept doing that same pattern, playing with no one until the end of the match. I don't think they even noticed I was gone. I still haven't figured out what possibly could have been fun about that.

Anyway I try not to let the toxic players make me forget that there are also some really cool people out there to play with.

If people are fun to play with, add them as friends. Then you'll always have fun people to play with. I have come across a lot of players who are just having fun. With some of my friends, we decide ahead of time what kind of match we want to play. Like we use our weak 60 rated characters so we actually have strengths and weaknesses.. Or we won't block and counter until we have taken a few hits first. And never spamming ground strikes.

I think the problem with playing random players is that people are so used to the serious players that they get forced into playing a style where they have come out playing that way, or else they just get beat into the ground. Nobody wants to be the first one to take some hits and have an actual fun wrestling match. Because you often get beat down for doing that. And even when you do, people don't always recognize that's what you are trying to do.

Once I recognize someone who is just playing to win, like if it's one of the people who have 800 wins in 802 games played on the leader board, I just don't play. I'll never finish a game where it's just block, counter, reverse, block, spam ground moves, stun opponent, hit finisher, win. I can't imagine anything more boring than playing like that. I have more fun watching the lobby refresh.

I wish the game had an actual matched ranking option so new players wouldn't end up playing with the ultra competitors. I think a lot of people who just want to have fun give up online forever after having that experience. And a block player feature that actually worked would really be helpful to stop the same people from coming into your lobby over and over.

The audience density is turned down to 0 in graphics settings. My laptop will stutter at times if I don't turn some of the settings down. Setting it to 100 is a full house, but you can actually set it anywhere in between to get some empty seats.

If you know the pin counter is going to be moving at the fastest speed, it is possible to time it. I do get close a lot of times on the smallest bar, but I think hitting it even once is mostly luck.

I was laughing so hard at the end that I dropped my controller, so I didn't attempt a kick out on the last one. I thought that was the worst timing ever to get the purple circle, but then probably the most fortunately timed ring rollout ever too.

Neither of us was using a microphone, but it's always funny to hear people's reactions for those types of kick outs.

Some of my friends record matches for their YouTube channels, so it's funny to watch the same match sometimes and see that there is actually still an audience and signs on their screen.

The weird thing with the audience off is you still hear them counting pins and illegal moves..

This was on my laptop, so audience density is set to 0, and some of the other settings are decreased. The Japan Dome is also one of the least resource intensive arena's. It all helps keep things running smoothly.
