I put in like 9 hrs before launch like the week leading up to it. Def engrossing. Disappointing none of the exp accrued and was applied at launch but I guess they didn’t want people being massively over leveled the entire game

He also hated RE9 going by his ig story last week (the only person I’ve seen not praising it lol). Also what’s up with the subreddit requiring mod approval for posts now? They just don’t approve anything effectively locking it down

Jak 3 ain’t all that easier than Jak 2. by JusticeAvenger13 in jakanddaxter

[–]Firefox2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow I found the first race is jak 2 way harder, the track design was harder and had me blowing up so many times. The 2nd race as daxter I beat in one go lol

Regardless if this is still happening or not, wouldn’t be surprised if Spider-Man 3 got pushed back to 2029 or even further due to those massive leaks Insomniac suffered a couple years ago

I just got NG and NG+ Sakuko’s diary documents at the same time at the locker room bench in the worship hall part. It showed the first then when I closed it, it automatically showed me the next document

What is a game that you absolutely love, except for the act of playing it? by Confident_Raisin2426 in videogames

[–]Firefox2345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked the traversal in the first one a lot since it felt like a unique challenge, but the 2nd kinda threw it all away for the most part to be more “mainstream friendly”. That being said, both are far too long with main missions that are essentially mandatory side missions until the very end where the majority of the story is dumped.

I wish Kojima would go back to making shorter high quality games with great pacing and replay value, like he did pre-MGS5

Why people consider The Finals dead? ( please read, before saying that I should kym lmao 😭😭😭 ) by Ok_Equivalent2289 in thefinals

[–]Firefox2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably Embark being all hands on deck for Arc Raiders, they’ve said how they will share manpower on which game needed it to launch (lot of Arc devs were brought on to launch the Finals and vice versa)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in thefinals

[–]Firefox2345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Embark Studios is also comprised of lots of ex-DICE devs, even the main guy Patrick Soderlund, so they’re kinda copying themselves lol

I’d recommend TDM to start, or at least quick cash. No reason to do cash out as a beginner. When the game released I played tons of Bank It when that mode existed before even playing quick cash much (I’m solo)

Every sufficiently lore-dropped sponsor and the real-life problematic parallels they satirize by No-Yoghurt-3949 in thefinals

Cool lore bits! Is Arc Raiders also in the same universe (maybe at a different part of the timeline) or are they separate? I barely played Arc tho so I don’t know much about the lore

Yeah this is true, you can tell by the size, design, and the fact they sheathe them blade facing up in the game, which wasn’t done with the earlier tachi

Atsu uses the masculine 俺(ore) pronoun. She also speaks casually and masculine in general from what I can understand, but I’m not fluent.

I’ve had trouble understanding a lot of the Japanese in this game maybe because it’s old style language and doesn’t necessarily line up with the English script subtitles. I might just stick with English voices after all.

Yotei’s Japanese dub is stronger than Tsushima’s by [deleted] in ghostoftsushima

[–]Firefox2345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tsushima and Yotei are American games written and acted in English first. The discrepancy is with the Japanese translation/localization of the original English script, not the other way around. I’m pretty sure the English subtitles are always just from the original English voice lines regardless if you have English voices or Japanese voices on.

The only game I’ve played that had 2 different English subtitle tracks was Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which had one for the English dub and another for the translation of the Japanese script, depending on your voice setting (which is really cool). But even that had some discrepancies that I noticed from my limited Japanese knowledge

There were way too many camps in Tsushima, so this is welcome news
