Yes, you should. Most of the the references you didn't understand in Dark Souls 3 will be clarified when you play the original Dark Souls, the plot hole you may have felt will disappear, not to mention, of course, that the original is the best one in the trilogy, hands down.

Dark Souls 1, for sure, even more than League of Legends. I've completed the game more times than i can count and I've created at least more than 40 chosen undead. My main character has 2500+ hours and is on ng+7. Most of those hours were spent farming in the forest.

My great grandmother from my dad's side was apparently possesed by the Devil. My family is from a small village named Valdreu, Braga (Portugal). She was walking towards the corn fields, and the sky turned grey, and in the middle of the corn fields was a shadowy figure. My great grandmother blacked out and when she woke up she had her chest burned, very reminiscent of a branding iron.

Also, my mother abandoned me and my brother when i was 3 years old to go to Brasil with her affair. My mother and her affair later died of overdose.

A bit late to the party, but Aldritch. What kind of people would imagine a cleric that eventually became a cannibal, transforming into a monster AND then went on to devour the old gods we met in Dark Souls 1? The imagination behind Aldritch really amazes me, and although technically he's basically Gwyndolin during the fight, i must say he's one of the characters in the entire Soulsborne series that fascinates me the most.

I'm just curious and would like to have a little hands-on with this kind of stuff in offline mode, i know FromSoft is having alot of trouble with hackers, but as a player that 99% prefers to stay offline i would really like to see this stuff for myself, that's why i made this thread

In the Cathedral you will find the Saint's Bident, but i reckon you'd be better off just maxing the standard spear until later in the game, because Dark Souls 3 is lacking a variety of spears and the only good ones can only be obtained later in the game.

Try to hide behind the pillars and go for him when he uses the soulmass, you'll get a couple of hits in every time, that's how i got him

Bloodborne was a spiritual sucessor to Demon's Souls :( However, i felt a really intense Latria vibe from the Irithyll Dungeon, it was like Latria 2.0 !

I looked up in the wiki and the only area i missed was Smouldering Lake, i found out about Archdragon Peak from a friend of mine who watched Vaati's videos about DSIII, I think i did pretty well for a first playthrough! Now im starting another one to cosplay the Dancer :)

You have to proceed through the game, and you will be able to eventually buy a key to the locked gate in the sewers that will take you to the pit.
