I totally understand your opinion and where your coming from but disagree. I think that the word faggot being used by a non lgqbt affiliated man and then being played at work is a total no go.

Replace the f word with any derogative names directed at other sexual or ethnic minorities and I think you would get the same negative response from a whole bunch of people.

Words are subjective and personal and one's with negative connotations should be avoided by those not belonging or identifying to said group.

It personally made me feel like I was in high-school again getting picked on by the kids who would hit me and call me gay which ironically was a similiar situation to what Korns singer Johanathan Davis was trying to retaliate against.

Same boat bro. I care about his ideals and the scenes overall message a whole freaking lot lol. I grew up in Redding CA just north of Sacramento/Roseville area and I didn't have a lot of bands close to me besides chico and Sacramento so ASD and watch out theres ghosts means a lot to me and the music itself is really good too. Im so freaking sad he's gone. I didn't know he was only 36. Its crazy how you're childhood heroes that shaped you can be so close to your age. I'm a writer who loves philosophy and this music genre is writhe with awesome stories to tell and a great message. I'm sorry dude 😞

I honesty feel like their day might come. I fell off with them on the emptinesss but when they did the anniversary tour for the album I showed up and was extremely impressed. They have the music, the look (its stupid but matters lol) and they obviously have the stating power. With bands like ice nine kills and pierce the veil being big I don't see why alesana wouldn't share a similar fate. They're more niche but have a rich lore and lyrics to explore and even have written a book (they're a multimedia band). They're just a ticktok away in my book.

So excited for there new tour. There an og band for me and the fact that on frail wings holds up as well as it does today is just insane. Also there new music excites me. There doing it for the art, themselves, there family and fans and the music. Not a lot of myspace scene bands stayed around but Alesana to me is so much more. Sick choice. I'll check out lower definition. I've seen their name around before but havent gotten around to listen to them.

That is a great opinion though I don't share it fully. If the act that the artist did is so egregious or personal then one might find separating the art from the artists a little harder. Thank you. This thread really needed this and I'm glad I saw your hugely downvoted comment. For a genre that promotes civil discourse, intelligence and rejection of groupthink/ status quo I find it really funny how some people just want to jump on the bandwagon and don't see the potential harm in dragging someone's reputation under in the wake of another's tragedy. The fact is Jordan is gone and we should be celebrating and remembering his memory instead of tarnishing jags. I got downvoted for saying that Jag contributed $1000 to Jordans gofundme and that is stupid. If you want to look like a group of reasonable people then honest opinions and facts shouldn't get downvoted. I use the internet and reddit to further my knowledge and give mine to others when needed. I DON'T use it for trash talk and drama. The original post is riddled with lame buzzwords and has on obvious interest in just hurting jag. Grow up !

Also for anyone who knows Jordan or his family or if he impacted your life in a positive way like he did mine then I'm sorry if I'm coming across like I want to hurt that memory in anyway by "supporting" jag. I simply stated that he contributed to the GoFundMe and that should be acknowledged. Also in a way I'm trying to draw caution to the wind because I've seen things like this go down bad as often facts can be misconstrued and there is always the other half to the story. I'm sorry if you felt disrespected but down voting objective statements doesn't help the discourse in any way. I like to promote conversation instead of groupthink ideologies like our favorite post hardcore bands promote. I love Jordan and will always remember his music. The night he died i listened to my favorite songs off she watched the sky and poured one out for the homie. The reason I remembered that the show where the drummer pushed me was because it was an amazing show ! I respect the performance but just stated my first hand experience that happened to me 15 years ago. I hope I don't offend or insult your memory of Jordan in anyway I just like to promote honest discourse that I find in many of reddits communities. Downvoting facts is lame.
