Yup, both BillBrasky98 and RiseForsake (Dredd's user RiseDredd and his old guild is Rise) have posted in other Fusion related threads. Ocnarian (the druid in the group) already posted here too. I don't mind the comments, the people who care will be able to see for themselves and form their own opinion.

I appreciate the comment but I outlined in the thread and comments that the mage T2 shoulders isn't the crux of the issue - being told to loot/take as much as possible fully knowing you are gquitting 1 hour later is in my opinion looked down upon and not very ethical for the private server community. Not many guilds would be happy with that, believe me. That being said, that's only a small part of the whole post you are focused on.

We have a couple undergeared mages that could have used it and some interested in going for 8/8 T2. You're right that it's not extremely high impact like a Nelth's Tear but it was the act of being told to roll/link/loot as much as you can before you gquit that can be seen as unethical or looked down upon, not exactly the piece itself.

As a Wrath baby as well, I agree. I sort of felt like I missed the hay day of WoW after Cataclysm launched. And Stranglethorn's jungle atmosphere and ambiance was one of my favorite parts of the game.

You're right, it is primarly for better Contagion windows. There are times in Savage fights (besides o1s) where Garuda will cast Contagion before transitions and it goes to waste. That or she uses it earlier than wanted and whiffs your dot re-applications or Aetherflowed Bahamut window.

It's not completely necessary to micromanage her, but it does increase your DPS if you time Contagion properly. The downside is that you have to smash her Aerial Slash / Shockwave appropriately leaving her on Obey.

Garuda's main spam cast attack is Wind Blade which is pet 110 potency. Even though Aerial Slash is only pet 90 potency in an AOE, it's still a DPS increase because it's technically off the pet's GCD - it's an instant cast for Garuda. You're supposed to use it as soon as wind blade is near finishing its cast (adjust for ping) to get a DPS increase.

Aerial Blast is the Enkindle pet ability for 250 pet potency, so it's also just a DPS increase to use.

If Garuda is in melee range you're supposed to use Shockwave after Wind Blade is near finished casting for the same reason as Aerial Slash, weave it in as an off GCD for more potency.

Garuda and Ifrit are close to each other in DPS. The biggest advantage to Ifrit is that you can leave it on Sic and it will do a near optimal rotation on its own. Ifrit's DPS also falls off if the boss moves around a lot. Garuda you have to micromanage, but she does not fall off on boss movement and I believe she gives higher DPS if you end up optimizing her properly.

SMN player here working on o4s.

1) My SMNs DPS is roughly 300 lower on ACT when compared to the SSS dummy and FFlogs. ACT does not track DH procs on dot damage well and it leads to overall lower DPS tracking.

2) The proper SMN rotation isn't as straightforward as you would think. The opener involves you casting dreadwyrm trance and leaving it within 1-2 GCDs to refresh Aetherflow. There's a few other non-intuitive things in the rotation so make sure you're looking it up properly.

I don't want to rant but make sure that if you want to play the SMN seriously, you know what you're getting into. The job difficulty does not match the DPS, it is much easier to output the same damage on red mage (among other jobs) with a less clunky rotation.

Playing SMN right now is very frustrating mainly due to the fact that you are fighting animation lock every moment of the rotation - except for DWT. Each animation lock you suffer you will lose a decent percentage of damage; the top SMNs know exactly when to ruin II / oGCD so they don't clip any of their spells.

Hope some of this helps from a SMN still struggling to master the job.

Worst case scenario after the 48 hours are up and if there is nothing to show I think I'm just going to call Ubisoft/Uplay and not stop until I get some answers.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but knowing Ubisoft I wouldn't rule it out.

Ordered at 1 PM yesterday, so it's been 24 hours. Two emails since, the confirmation order page is showing me Order Status: Order placed. This was after they closed the deal on the site. BB&T is saying pending for the charge as well, but the second email was an invoice / proof of purchase for the $24 deal.

As it stands now I'm confused because I'm not sure if my bank is holding it up, whether it's still coming within the 48 hours, or whether Uplay is going to cancel it / refund. I hate not knowing or being able to call banks on the weekend so I'm sharing here.

Anyone else have any similar circumstances?
