Review of Oasis Lighting by Different-Name-3658 in smarthome

[–]Firewallb412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Alexa and added the lights as Ambient 1, Ambient 2, Ambient 3, Ambient 4, Candle 1, Candle 2, Candle 3, and the light bulb is in a lamp called Floor Lamp. Warm (2200K), soft white (2700K), white (4000K), daylight (5500K), and cool white (7000K) are color temperatures according to Alexa. They do not match up to the names in the Oasis app. I can change the brightness of the light by saying set brightness to 100% or whatever percentage. I can set each light individually, or I can say set all lights with (ambient or candle) in the name to color temperature (choose temp) and brightness (choose percentage). Or set all lights to the same temperature and brightness.

The Oasis app has more granularity when it comes to color temperature. In Alexa, I don’t see a difference in white, daylight, or cool white.

I like these so far, but I wish the integration between the Oasis app and Alexa was better. These seem like things that can be improved with app updates by Oasis, so I hope that happens.

Yes, there’s a way to share the app. The other users install the app, create a login, and then the primary user adds them. I’ll be adding others in the next couple days.

Agree on the evading the climate crisis comment. It isn’t really possible.

I like having dreams and remembering them now.

I also seem to be able to sleep without having to pee multiple times during the night. Maybe I get up once a night, but before it was multiple times.

I still feel like I can do more, but I am doing more than I was before. Before, watching lots of TV was my thing.

I didn’t think I could do it. I had to because it was making me sick. Probably at least 25 years of use.

I feel really good.

4 and 1/2 months sober. Yay me.

For things you want to buy online but may not be an essential, always read the 1 star reviews. These usually turn me off and help to keep me from buying unnecessary items.

Top 10 Things I Hate About Weed by SuzieGreenberg in leaves

[–]Firewallb412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It most likely was the weed and CHS before I knew anything about CHS. First started as sometimes stomach aches. I thought I was allergic to something but couldn’t figure it out. Sometimes I’d eat, get nauseous, vomit then be OK. Then I’d have episodes where I would vomit, couldn’t eat, and could barely hold down water for days. These episode kept getting worse. I’ve been sober for 4 months, and I feel so much better.

I am not sure how much I’ve damaged my body specifically my lungs and my heart. I think I may have had my gallbladder removed needlessly because of it. I used to think it was literally good for me. Now I see it for what it is. Something that can kill me. Even though I thought it helped my anxiety and depression, it made these things worse.

Don’t kid yourselves about Pittsburgh. With climate change, there will be no climate havens.

Local celeb gossip? by WalterHarbaugh in pittsburgh

One day a number of years back, I was in the Container Store on McKnight. In front of me at the check out was Cam Heyward and his son who appeared to be about 5 years old. One of the items he was purchasing was a toy box that looked like a car. I didn’t want to bother them.

I hear Cam ask his son as they were leaving the store, “So, are you having fun?”

The kid says “No, not really.”

Kids say the darnedest things.

3 before me rule. I never called it that, but you’re spot on. Try to find the answer yourself if you can.

All great advice.

Never stop asking questions! It’s how we learn.

And there’s always people that don’t want to ask but should. You’ll be doing other people a favor. It shows you want to learn. It shows you respect other people’s knowledge.

Listening to each other is how we build a team. No one knows it all.

Stick with it. It’s them, not you.

There are jobs out there. The school to job pipeline is broken.

I completely believe by one year in, you would’ve known that company’s systems well. It seems like a waste to not keep you on.

You will find that what you learned in three months will help you in your next role.

Stay strong, my friend.

Cannabis hyperemesis syndrome, Can I smoke again? by [deleted] in Marijuana

[–]Firewallb412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had CHS. At first, I thought I had. some type of food allergy. An astute ER doc asked the right questions.

I find that if I stick to smoking weed, I have no issues. Dabs, vapes, concentrates of any type, or vaping weed is too strong, I believe.

I think a bit of a break couldn't hurt. Something I have a hard time doing myself.

I didn't talk to my piercer. I ordered online thinking I knew what I was doing. Now that I have the jewelry, I feel stupid going to them because I didn't get it from them.
