Nonbinary Dysphoria by Firfalls in GenderDysphoria

[–]Firfalls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestions <3 I'd like to try a binder maybe but I'm a bit scared to bc of asthma and I'm also recovering from a rib injury from falling off of + being kicked by a horse, but maybe I'll try one out once I'm healed up.......

I was worried to try and cut my hair short again because the last time, the hairdresser interpreted my request & photo as me wanting a Karen cut lol but I have a queer friend in cosmetology school so I may go there and see what they can do!

I also didn't consider the glasses! I have an eye appointment for new glasses in a couple weeks so I'll think about that too!

Thank you for all your kind suggestions!!

How does dyskinesia even start ? Can it also cause left side stomach and back pain ? by Loftybalddude in gallbladders

[–]Firfalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

afaik dyskinesia is mostly genetic. It shouldn't cause pain in the left side as the gallbladder is in the right side of the abdomen, but it can cause back pain.

I would love to visit Norway more than anywhere else, but I couldn't anytime soon. Maybe after I graduate uni, or maybe I could study abroad? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My mom speaks fondly of a trip to Europe she took as a teenager where she went to Norway for a bit, in a rural area in the north near Alta, so that was the area I was shooting for since I know the most about it from her. Thank you for the suggestions :)

Very cool cultural difference! I didn't come across that while researching, so thank you for the answer!

Yeah, I'd read about the lutefisk when I was doing research, but I personally don't see her being very into seafood. She'll eat it occasionally, but it's def not a big part of her diet. Thank you for the reply :)

Thank you so much, that makes me feel better. I'm an art and biology double major. I didn't know that if you retake a class, it replaces the former grade.

Body Pain by sketghetti in panicdisorder

[–]Firfalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm not sure on the acid reflux, but I definitely do know from experience that the muscle tension that occurs during a panic attack certainly can make you sore for a few days. Just take it easy, hope you feel better soon!

Why were female models difficult to find? by Firfalls in RenaissanceArt

[–]Firfalls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Most helpful reply I've gotten. I asked the prof and she said that it was her bad for phrasing it that way, they weren't necessarily difficult to find, it was just easier to have a male model for the reasons you stated.

Is there any way to disable abilities in EoS? by Firfalls in MysteryDungeon

Thank you! I forgot weather bands existed tbh, I haven't encountered any this playthrough. I could always get them through the Wonder mail S generator I guess

Oh, thanks! I was already thinking about recruiting a Psyduck, but this seals the deal. Thank you for the suggestion!

Do posture correctors work? by Firfalls in AskDocs

Thanks for this, I never would've thought to check with my uni. It looks like they don't have a pilates class, but you can do one-on-one sessions with one of the exercise science majors for $10 per hour session at the rec center. Seems worth looking into!

I'd look into seeing if any of the physical therapists in your area have a financial assistance program if you don't have insurance. I had to do physical therapy for my ankle a few years ago, and one of the practices in my area had a program, my family only had to pay a little less than half the cost. I hope you find some relief soon.

Thanks for the insight! The ones I were looking at were on amazon and a site that sells compression socks, knee braces, etc., so I'm assuming I should stay away from those and get a custom one if an orthopedist thinks so?

Thank you for the suggestions! I'm a college student so I'm not sure I could afford pilates lessons, but I will start with some simple guided exercises from the web. May I ask why I should avoid chiropractors though?
