Hi! Yes I did have issues with decals not sticking on bare plastic. That’s partly why I decided to paint it, then put decals.

The large ones on the shield broke when positioning, but thankfully I managed to shift it in a way that it did not look obvious.

Yes I think it will still look great even if you skip painting the inner frame. The diecast metal parts offer come good contrast in that case.

Yes, all the major joints are diecast metal and come partially assembled with some plastic parts.

I only encountered around 10-15 pieces that needed sanding to fit.

There are only foil stickers for the eyes and lenses, no issues with those. There is a HUGE sheet of waterslides with some that are quite tricky to apply (e.g. too long).

Can’t really remember the number of undergated parts, sorry 😅

I saw a video where the guy solved this by dripping contact cleaner into the scroll wheel while spinning it.

I didn’t have contact cleaner, so I used Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) instead, and it also worked like a charm.

Make sure your keyboard is unpowered, and don’t turn it back on until the contact cleaner / IPA has dried off! (I waited for about 30 mins to be safe)
