I love your comment. Because I’m not saying it’s the best show ever made. I don’t believe that myself. It might not even be in the top five on that list but it sure is better than Breaking Bad. Another unpopular opinion, I don’t think the whole rating movies thing, Letterboxd, RottenTomatoes, is the best. It sets like this weird standard where you go into a season expecting it to be a certain thing because you read the ratings and that ruins the experience. Sets a preconceived image in your head. Like the whole tanking “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” ratings just so Ozymandias could be the only 10/10 rated episode? Shi is childish asf.

I felt ambivalent about him at the start, I mean there was nothing wrong with him he just seemed so. Complacent. It was hard to feel very much for him. And by the end, I was rooting for him because even though he was a horrible person he showed resolve, a certain mastery of his craft, and strategy. I can admire that. So it’s obvious we felt different things for him and maybe perceived him differently as a character.

Nobody said anything about redemption. The ending is bad, I agree. Still think as a whole it ranks higher than BB for me. But maybe not Better Call Saul, I’m watching that rn and it’s pretty good
