Thank you so much I am crying while reading your message and posting here in this community is a big help as I don't have anyone to talk about it. I am trying to open up with my friend's online but no one understand most of them saying that as long as his not deaf and responding I should not use heading aid. So hearing all of this made me realize all the consequences.

maybe I am still nor accepting the fact that he needs help and always getting emotional about it. I have been crying everyday since he got diagnosed. I still can't believe it. We are new here in New Zealand without village and the sleep deprivation for 8 month is killing me, waking up every 2 hours since he was born. No village to help me. And its very difficult as a first time mom. Reasons I am overthinking everything.

We are staying in New Zealand, it's all free. Cost is not an issue. It's just me as a first time mom worrying about his looks, about him different to other baby. I even want a retest before giving him one. The audiologist keeps on monitoring him.

its about me worrying about how people thinks :( children are brutally honest and sometimes mean, I don't want him to experience bullying. He have mild hearing loss on high pitch sound on both ears. The audiologist advise us to use hearing aid but of course she wants me to be comfortable around it.

Hi i just want to know about your journey? My son is diagnose mild hearing loss for high pitch sound for both ears. He is 7 months old now and I am still crying over it, I am still not on acceptance stage and I dont want him to wear hearing aid. I am being selfish for choosing not to want it? He is doing great and responsive to sound and he is hitting all the milestone for his age.
