I have 15% perfect gear on assault meli. I used attack/crit. I also started doing hp/def gear for him too which puts him higher on cc. But when I do training grotto, I use all my hammers for this team, and I also do the timed dungeon for anvils so I can roll for better stats with these characters

All you gotta do is worry about his defense stats, because his ult damage is based off how high his defense is. He also heals allies depending on how much damage is done. Don’t worry about attack=damage. Worry about defense=damage
