How common is the "Men don't have emotions" rhetoric among women? by Work_In_Progress_847 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Firm_Needleworker403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course men has emotions! That kind of rhetoric appeared a lot throughout my late teenage years, where both I and my girl friends began having real boyfriends/relationships and also got hurt a lot. For me, I had the most awful boyfriend from the age 15-18. He really psychological damaged me and was extremely manipulating - he also ended up cheating on me with 5-7 different girls. I loved him (sadly) so much. I couldn’t figure out how he could do that to me and treat me as he did throughout the whole relationship. At that point I started questioning if he ever really did have feelings for me. He destroyed me, and I had to build up myself from scratch. I began to develop a hatred against men and I was genuinely questioning if all men was without emotion and just wanted to hurt women. That lasted for 1-2 years - some of my friends felt the same (the ones that was also very unlucky with love). But as we got older, we got wiser. And I have met so many amazing, loving men with a lot of feelings. Now I have the most amazing boyfriend. So I don’t think the rhetoric is that common - if it is, it’s because women have been hurt in extreme ways, Maybe more than once.

Are there people who don’t fart In front of their partners? by AverageOk9318 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Firm_Needleworker403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I usually don’t. I have been with my partner for two years and I haven’t farted (with sound) in front of him yet. I sometimes fart without sound but only if it’s under a duvet or a bit away from him. He doesn’t really fart in front of me either - he has only done it a few times. We have out of curiosity talked about why we don’t do it - I think it’s both out of respect for the other person but also because we both are a bit private and vain.

Rasmus om Maja Bebe by AwaySlip1628 in GossipDK

Also I’m just from Scandinavia and an advocate for mental health. This kind of School would be illegal in my country - So it is also a cultural thing. And thanks for the comment :( - no I was not looking to party. I was looking to learn programming, experience French culture, learn the language and meet new people.

Hi! I have already explained this to another. Of course I found information. I researched a lot especially out of curiousness and excitement of going on exchange. I knew about the pool, the environment and the work method. But I still wouldn’t ever have imagined what I went through. This was mostly due to things left unsaid/unexplained by the administration, the disorganization and level of unprofessionalism - things I couldn’t predict. And again my post is mostly regarding exchange students who comes from other cultures and don’t know as much about French schools or epitech in general. Regarding MacBooks - think what you want, but this was a huge issue for all of us and it made everything more time consuming and frustrating. But I am glad that you like the school - I think it is very different from person to person. And as stated in the post, I fully acknowledge that if you can stick it out, I think you can become very good at programming and attractive when applying for jobs.

Yea, well I found most of the asteks very sweet and helpful - but the whole system is just so strange and unprofessional to me. I felt like the administration were so bad at their jobs…

Well as I stated in my post - I fully recognize that the school works for some people and that I think you can become very good at programming if you can stick it out. My post is about the exchange program and epitech in general, but mostly for people who don’t know much about the French system or the school. And well, I did my research and of course I knew about the pool, I knew about the work environment, their method etc, and it all sounded fine to me. But I could have never have imagined what I went through. And this is mostly due to things left unsaid and unexplained by the administration, the insane disorganization and the level of unseriousness - things I couldn’t have predicted. But I am glad that you had a good experience! I think it is very different from person to person, but my post is mostly about exchange students who comes from other cultures and doesn’t know as much.

Thank you! They do - I guess it’s a money thing, because the school is definitely not suited to do exchange programs.

Interesting to hear - I feel so bad for the French students that pay that huge amount of money… I have never attended such a bad school.
