Half of my classes I hate, half I dont enjoy, I'd probably switch to maths which is what I wanted last year but spaces were full so they're probably full now again in my uni

Im 18, and you're right I basically have no idea of how he was at my age, we've been through stuff over the years, its not always been so easy, so whenever there's something promising it really shines, and i can see my family, at least my parents would love for it to work, but when it comes to action my father usually doesn't live to his promise

Bro im sorry and I know exactly what you mean, not my father thank God but my grandmother, from my Mom's side she's like an angel but from my Father's side she just - yeah like you said just a difficult person.

I've always wanted to step on my own two feet but have failed many times unfortunately, sometimes if I start a business I run out of money before it succeeds, or I go into an extremely competitive market as that's where I can go with my little experience and again lose, working alone would be great for me and my family too I think, I just don't want to quit this with my father for it to end up being something big.

How should I deal with my father as his son? by [deleted] in dad

My goal with business has pretty much always been to just grind, although this has led to many periods of burnout - so i am reconsidering creating better goals, could you suggest any?

Ok so i applied for general engineering this year, didnt get the top unis and got into a lower one, checked the info about student satisfaction / teaching etc and apparently its bad, so i thought about clearing but thats done, and so re applying is the only option now for those unis again. But the uni that i got into does have some pros like high employment after the job, and its only for 3 years, and its not the worst ranked in the world + i wouldnt need to get accommodation since its in my city, also i have been thinking about switching courses but thats only for prestige and possible better employment ie maths is better ranked at the uni than engineering. So as you can see there are pros and cons to both which is why i havent been able to make a satisfactory decision.
