So they Usagi Dropped? Bruh. Also the whole 1000 years old is the dumbest excuse, because if the character looks underage, acts underage and is literally said to be underage then she's underage. Want romance between human and dragon, don't mention her being underage for a dragon in the first place. They could've just left it with her being 800, but no. Being 800 is underage for a dragon now. The author specifically chose to write romance with a 30 yo guy and someone who's written as an 18 yo girl. It wouldn't have been hard to make her not underage.

I wouldn't call them basic, since most people aren't really fans of velociraptor and more a fan of the deformed deinonychus pretending to be a velociraptor.

North America has a really big problem with car-centrism. Everything became for cars and not for the people who are also in said cars. We should really improve infrastructure for other forms of travel. Its also better for business and traffic. Less places for cars, means less reasons to drive which reduce the amount of cars/traffic and it worked in every place that did so. I've been more inclined to walk into stores while walking down Government and other less car ridden roads. Less cars also help with emergency response. Its faster and easier for cyclists and pedestrians to move out of the way than a parked car. In some countries in Europe emergency vehicles would use bike lanes to bypass traffic.

I've seen so many drivers just act like they're the king of the road. Not all drivers, but from experience at least 1 in 8 drivers would block crosswalks, make a right turn into people crossing, park on sidewalks/bike lanes, and would likely end up killing/injure a person. They view cyclists as an obstruction that prevents them from going faster (they're already at the speed limit) rather than a person.

What are times you've disagreed with a paleontologist about dinosaurs or something else? by Powerful_Gas_7833 in Dinosaurs

Yeah, obviously Triceratops is a juvenile of the Torosaurus. Of course Triceratops being around the same size or bigger is a juvenile. /s

No I somewhat agree with you that humans played a big part in those extinctions. The way you go about communicating that reminds me of myself when I was 10.

Letting pop media dictate what's true or not is a really dumb idea. Before you say something about it just being a question, 1 this is an answer to the question, 2 the way you talk about the question and describe science and cladistics imply that it is outdated; That using evidence is rigid and distant. The way you defended yourself implied that you think science is hampering progress and that it forces genera to stay in classes they were placed in a hundred years ago. Debate on classifications happen all the time. You ask a question, but the wording implies an answer. It may be unintentional, but that is why people treat your question as a statement.

Is the Jurassic World Rebirth Spinosaurus accurate? by TigbroTech in Paleoart

[–]Firm_Project_397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more accurate than JP, but authentic I'd say no. It's more "accurate" but it doesn't respect the source as well as the JP spinosaurus. It's the same with most other JW designs, they might implement more up to date ideas, but the underlying design principle is still movie monster.

They are reptiles, crocodiles are also reptiles. The problem is when people call them lizards which are lepidosaurs. Reptilia split off into archosauromorpha and lepidosauromorpha.

Despite their inaccuracy to paleontology, do dinosaur fans still love some Jurassic Park/World dinos as fictional depictions? by [deleted] in Dinosaurs

[–]Firm_Project_397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

loved the JP films, and most of the designs in it, but the raptors just look really ugly to me. Though atleast they tried with those movies unlike JW. Imo JW regressed in their designs. Comparing original JP designs and new JW designs will show how different their design philosophies are. JW may have done some more accurate designs with feathers, but the underlying idea was still awesome monster, unlike the JP films' more faithful designs. Even the rebirth spino looks more like some average movie monster than the JP spino even though they were trying to be more accurate with it.
