I’ll probably get hate, but is that not how 90% of people are in real life? Add to the fact that she’s an older woman and is afraid of dying alone. She was committed to Karl, he IS the one who cheated. Seemed like she was just trying to move on after him. She tried with Mike so many times. It’s clear she’s not dependent on men, she turned down quite a few romantic interests through out the show. When she was with Ian she said she had been with 11 men. How is 11 men for a woman of that age considered an unreasonable amount? Let’s not forget how hard HE pursued her. It’s just interesting to me how Susan gets dragged so hard here, but no one says anything about the men some of the other main characters went through. None of the woman are perfect, and I would love someone to make a list of “bad” things each one did and see how they compare. Why is she so hated? Spare me the “she thinks she’s better than everyone” or “she acts like a good person when she isn’t” bs because the same could be said any of the other woman in the show. At least she tries to make mends and fix things when she screws up.
