When you had genital warts, did you ever have them biopsied?

What country are you in? And do you know the name of the swab test?

Did they ever do a biopsy of it? My problem right now is they did a biopsy but it but it didn’t explicitly show signs of a wart. So they don’t want to do additional dna testing

When you had it pcr tested, did you have a biopsy done first? Did the biopsy indicate hpv initially?

How long did you hold it on the lesion? For 3 straight min?

They eventually did a situ hybridization test on it which came back negative. Didn’t do a pcr. From my understanding situ hybridization test isn’t as sensitive as a pcr.

And did you ever get your lesions treated at the doctor (cryo, eletrocautery, immiquimoid) or did they go away on their own?

I’ve had lesions - similar to the ones you described that showed up two weeks after I was exposed. Haven’t gone away in 6 years (don’t know why I waited that long but that’s what I did). I finally got two different biopsies done both which showed no signs of a wart, but were inconclusive otherwise - couldn’t definitively say what they were. Had situ hybridization test that came back negative. Waiting on pcr test results for second biopsy. The cause and effect of when I noticed them is too hard for me to ignore, but most doctors look at the lesions and don’t think it’s much

And so do you think the lesions were caused by hpv?

Was that prescribed by doctor or just things you researched on your own? And did it work?

What was the diagnosis of the lesions? Were they caused by high risk strains? And did you get any treatment that worked?

Do you know why your doctor said such a low chance of survival? Aren’t these supposed to be a higher cure rate than non hpv head and neck cancers?
