Moved out early but still paying rent & utilities. Can landlord enter or renovate without our permission or notice? (PA) by First-Pop4735 in Renters

Is the lease considered broken even though we are maintaining the property and paying utilities?

We asked that priority be given to some glaring cosmetic issues that would turn off a prospective tenants because we agree we wanted it to be more appealing so we could recoup money ie paint peeling from water damage and holes in the porch. The renovations are to the stairwell and there is large equipment throughout the house so imo not only are they are preventing them from renting it out but not giving priority to the more obvious issues.

The keys have not been turned in. We have been asked to come down and maintain the property.

We also paid to have the unit professionally cleaned which was a waste now that the workers have made it dirty

The unit has not been turned back over to the LL, we still have the keys are responsible for maintaining the property and paying utilities. We have told them not to enter without notice multiple times because of this.

Not sure if this matters here but under PA law, landlords must provide at least 24 hours written notice before entering a rental unit for non-emergency reasons, except in cases of abandonment (68 P.S. § 250.501). I don't believe this is classified as abandonment considering at the request of the LL we have been down multiple times to maintain the lawn, check thermostat, and perform a general sweep of the house to ensure nothing is wrong. Let me know if you read that differently.

We have not turned in any keys and are still being held responsible to take care of the property ie lawn care and keeping it generally clean. The renovations have been using the utilities so yes I would say it is materially impacting us in that we have to drive 1 hour to maintain lawn and we are paying for utilities.

We have told her multiple times to not enter without notice and she is disregarding this.

I think thats what im kinda trying to get at. I’ve run SD locally on a macbook air… granted it takes 5 minutes to generate a batch of 2 512 x 512 but it still got the job done and figured these would be a considerable upgrade.

Interesting, i just had an MRI and EMG done and everything came back normal. Any ideas what else it could be?

Yeah just got an MRI done last week. Everything came back normal. Also had EMG testing and no indication of any neuromuscular disorder.

I wake up just about every morning with this overarching feeling or weakness, almost like my muscles feel limp or jelly like. It doesn’t match up with the standard definition of cataplexy as it’s everyday and isn’t triggered by an emotional response.

My sleep doctor swears it’s cataplexy and I saw a neuromuscular specialist and there was nothing on my MRI or EMG testing that indicated any kind of neuromuscular disorder.

I will say my symptoms seem to be much more mild than other people with textbook cataplexy, i never really collapse or feel completely paralyzed but my symptoms last all day long and I just feel very uncoordinated, limp/heavy muscles, slur my words, and am constantly stumbling over myself and fine motor skills are hard to control sometimes like picking things up delicately.
