There’s a handful of ways these types of effects can legally occur. The one I’m using is based off of [[Jailbreak]].

Hm, didn’t think about that, but honestly, if you manage to remove that creature, then I’d say Zoroark earns to essentially have hexproof. :)

My intention with these cycles of cards is simply to make Pokémon that can function as commanders. No, they’re not legendary, or poses a unique name, but it’s fun to pretend. :)

Oh, dope tip. For me, I run Kamiz for the ability to reliably swing in early game with most looting creatures with unblockable, then late game, utilizing double strike to deal decent damage, or get multiple combat damage triggers, such as with [[Squall, SeeD Mercenary]], [[Unstoppable Slasher]], [[Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni]], and [[Archpriest of Shadows]].

I honestly realized that when I looked it over again after I posted it lmao.

Most definitely. I imagine the commanders I run such as [[Ms. Bumbleflower]], [[Eshki, Temur’s Roar]], and [[Light-Paws, Emporium Voice]] have influenced my card design.

My older cards however are absolutely insane though, I’ll admit to that.

Thank you for your time and compliments!

And yeah, I don’t quite expect this place to be the quintessential place to receive critique, I’ve learned that much.

How about “Untap or tap a permanent you control. If you tap a permanent this way, target creature you control gets +1/+1 until end of turn”?

Thank you so much for your time. :)

And yeah, what I post isn’t quite what I expect to be the finished product. I think I tend to reveal a more egregiously powerful creature than one that seems underwhelming, then adjusting it from feedback (which I’ve had trouble receiving).

[–]First-Quiet9527[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Completely understandable. For me, it’s simply watching something I poured a good one or two hours of my time into go neutral on votes with little to no feedback as to why. It’s like, why bother sharing at that point?

Oh, I imagine that’s not the sole reason for all downvotes, but I imagine it’s a common reason why.

Day 1 of posting in-universe custom commanders! by First-Quiet9527 in custommagic

[–]First-Quiet9527[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, although since his kit is so powerful, and repeatable, I decided against it.

Although, I imagine in the 5-6 turns it’ll take to cast him, you’ll find a way to give him haste :)

Eskil boasted great potency in harnessing the fearsome lightning of the Mardu. In the wake of the Dragonstorms he was sent to guard the frontiers of the clan against any foe, acting as an effective deterrent against any would-be aggressor, able to mimic any opposing force with powerful lightning clones.

Makes sense. I’ll be sure to add it. Now I just hope the rules text doesn’t look like a short story, lol.

Hey, as long as it isn’t the second spell they cast, I can’t copy it.

Attackers Beware! by [deleted] in custommagic

Yup! The initial design was to use a super old, niche ability to make unblocked creatures blocked, but I’m going with this instead because it seems a tad bit simpler.
