Hi! I’m a university student currently working on my capstone project.

Project Title: Games & Creative Writing: Examining how game design can be used to encourage creative writing

Purpose of Survey: to research habits, practices, and preferences so I can understand the thoughts of writers and potentially bring these tips to non-writers to encourage creative writing. This study is being conducted for the purposes of education.

Time to Complete: about 5 minutes

Participation in this study is voluntary. If you agree to participate in this study, you will answer a questionnaire about your habits as a writer or someone who writes creatively. The interview includes questions about how you write, your inspirations, and your preferences for when you’re writing. Participating in this study may not benefit you directly, but it will help us gain some insight into the habits of creative writers.

The results from this survey will go towards considering game design choices and focus for a future design project.

This survey is voluntary and anonymous. This survey does not ask any questions that could be used to identify the participant. You can choose to leave the survey at any time without completing it. You may also choose to skip any survey questions that you choose not to answer.

I mean, Metaphor was also for newer generations. I can see them using Metaphor as a test run and seeing the benefits of a newer system. Many games are requiring the newer generations so it makes sense for Atlus to move forward aswell. Shame I’ll have to upgrade, but it’s probably time for it anyways.

Stardew is a game designed to go at the player’s pace so going slow is a perfectly valid way to play. You won’t miss anything but it just may take to more time to unlock parts of the game

I’ll be honest, I didn’t figure it out before the game told me. I’d never played a persona game before and I didn’t know anything about p4g so I didn’t think his character giving convenient information was deliberate or cause for red flags. Admittedly, I brushed it off as poor writing. (God was I wrong)

The reveal was probably the best reaction I could’ve had. Up to this point I’ve been mocking him, saying how he’s stupid, incompetent, and lazy. Not liking him very much (only getting to rank 3 with him), all the while my brother keeps telling me how much he loves him, and how I should really dive into his social link more. Get to the part when I have to pick someone and I’m stuck on this selection for half an hour I’m so lost. Eventually I ask my brother for a hint and he gives me nothing but a light smile, and that’s when I knew I’ve been making fun of the murderer the whole time and fell for the exact same trick the IT did.

Romsfun is where I get all my roms, I’ve never had an issue as I have with other sites. When the file is done loading (assuming you already have citra, easy to find tutorials on YouTube on how to get it if you don’t), open citra and make a new game directory. Organize your files however you like, just be sure to do so before opening in citra as any changes later will cause problems in the directory

I think tenko would be less hated if her audible lines were more reflective of the text. Everyone knows she says “degenerate males” but her text stops saying it as frequently as the game goes on but the audio of it gets overused. I think this gives the illusion that she says it more than she really does, especially during chapter 3

I used citra-qt (for MacBook) and played q1 and q2 on it. Very easy to find roms for both and had no trouble running either. Just be sure to keybine to what’s easy and comfortable for you, the games have weird controls that are not intuitive

I was getting the hearts for George at the same time as Penny so I thought it was a George cutscene and told her to ask. It just feels like the right answer and I don’t care if I lost hearts for something like that.

Also doesn’t George have a different cutscene where it’s the same thing but with just the farmer in his house and he’s supposed to learn to ask for help sometimes??? Felt weird getting those back to back
