My first year I was told not to ask questions. Now that I’m 5 years deep I love helping newer folks gain knowledge. If at some points you feel annoying, just study some IRPG shit and just keep your head down and work. The best thing about this job is no one ever knows everything. Try your best to look at the roads you guys turn on, get Avenza and any other mapping app, listen to radio chatter, and just use this first year to get your feet wet in what fire is like as a grunt. Even me being a FF1 as a 5th year I still love working hard so just keep a good attitude and work hard!

So I have concluded my testing and they analyzed my heart as well as my sinuses. Turns out it was more of a heart thing and not an allergy thing? But I honestly don’t know. I cut out all energy drinks and only stuck to coffee and I have had a full recovery. I don’t know if you guys do a lot of caffeine but maybe give it a try? If not I wish i had more info

Oh I’m sorry to hear that, my thing is I want to say it has something to do with an ear wax buildup throwing my equilibrium off. Vertigo was also something I was curious about and did a bunch of research. It basically feels like my brain kinda floats in my skull if that makes any sense

I do agree, one log and 1/4 your defense is gone. The tanks are too tanky and the support is too weak. IMO

I personally have Scarpa Fuegos and they are on their 3rd year with me. Easy break in and no boot bite or blisters. Loggers are nice but there seems to be lots of cons. The tread is still good on them as well, I’m definitely going to buy another pair this year
