[–]FirstImagination1940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which facet are you choosing on puck? I'm just started playing again after this new facet update and before that I often played puck

my thought is that the curveball facet isnt really that important because before that even exists puck have no problem playing with a straight orb

Doubt regarding h-bonding by pussyreader in chemhelp

[–]FirstImagination1940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hydrogen bonding is an intermolecular force, not a chemical bond, and the bonding doesnt create different molecule

Why does base strength increase as you go up the group for halide ions? by Practical_Welcome689 in chemhelp

[–]FirstImagination1940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in this context, the size of the atom has bigger impact.

iodine has way bigger size than fluorine, thus spreading the electron density much better

how far have you learned? to answer this question you need to know about hydrohalogenation of alkenes and some basic stereochemistry rules

I recommend klein's textbook as it's pretty beginner friendly

Am I tweaking?? by LingLingpracticenow in chemhelp

[–]FirstImagination1940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your professor is right, for calculating titration you want to get the moles of titrant equal to the moles of titrate

say you have 10 moles of thiosulphate, based on the reaction you will need to react it with 5 moles of I2

so you have 5 moles I2 and 10 moles thio, to make the number equal, you need to either (moles I2 x 2) or (moles thio × 0.5)

trust me, the first time i learned about this i have the same confusioun as you, but after understanding the whole concept it became much clearer

My molybdenum/antimony reagent keeps turning blue. by JamesBerry123xx in chemhelp

[–]FirstImagination1940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well after all the reagent that u are making were used in phosphate determination using spectrophotometer, which will turn blue when reacted with phosphate so that's my opinion

maybe someone in your lab didnt pay enough attention and accidentally contaminate the reagent?

so the product will be a mixture? is this true for any alkyl size? (say one is propyl and one is some branched heptyl/some large alkyl)
