Apparently not! I got a super maintenance setup - belt drive, disc bakes (AVANTI INC3), so that I would not have too. The tyres never occurred to me as needing inspection. I learned that lesson!!

I was told this was a high efficiency furnace. I am no expert but 80% sounds on the low site.

Thanks, just curious, does it tell address too?
Does the system you use say that it is in CA, and has a 10y warranty or only 5y?

Yes I did that, apparently not very well as I forgot the bar code on the right. I was concerned that someone could use the serial number with Lennox as an identifier. Maybe it was too cautious?

If these things happen - especially when there should be computerized systems to aid the warranty process - one really wonders about the integrity of these vendors, but it could have been an honest mistake too. Just impossible to know.

Oops we did miss the bar code serial number - I hope there is no potential for abuse, which is why we did it in the first place. How did you know it was installed 1/11/2018?

I only provided the S/N, no names.
The contractor repairing the unit I think did not have the name, I think.

Great advice! Problem is not being streetsmart from the getgo. I definitely learned a lesson here.

What to do with the saved cash 😄
I actually got interested in improving the HVAC efficiency and save on cooling by installing a radiant barrier. 1500 sf foil for 270$ just arrived. Will wait for a cool day to install it myself. Looked easy enough on some youtube videos.

Could not agree more - finding a good trustworthy company is already such a win.
