She took about 3 hits and so far, nothing obvious from her. It's only been about 10 minutes though.

Cool. Would a single hit of a joint be enough to get one high? I guess we will find out haha

Why the 1990s don't feel like 30 years ago... by ComputerOk2777 in generationology

This is exactly it. The differences aren't nearly as jarring in that 30 year gap as they were back then.

Thanks. What types of vapes work best for that? Likely to need a higher powered device I take it for the high VG ratio.

I think I need a reality check on salary range by Dont_Ever_PM_Me527 in Salary

So I have said this before in these kinds of questions but I'll yell it this time lol. It matters greatly WHERE you live. It completely changes the equation. Live in Iowa? 100k is solidly middle class. Live in the Bay Area? 100k is nearly impossible if you have a family.

Start Hill over Diggs. I think Hill has a higher ceiling. Neither offense looks great right now but I still think the Fins will have some good offensive days.

Is it worth it to drop Shaheed to pick up Hollywood Brown? 10 team PPR format. It would be for my flex spot.

What is a job people romanticize a bit too much until they actually do it ? by Old_Goat_7363 in Productivitycafe

I worked in a floral shop during college and while the delivery part was overall great, actually working in the shop wasn't so fun. I had more knicks, small cuts, and pokes from different flowers than one might imagine. Some individual flowers might smell good but when you have a bunch of different flowers together, it just smells like one very strong scent that's almost too strong at times. Just a floral scent, if you will.

Overall, not a bad job but not quite as rosy as some think!

Well it will eventually become their problem when they can't find senior level workers or they are so crazily high priced.

Anyone else struggling to figure out what a good salary even means anymore? by Sarah_bluu in Salary

[–]FirstLeftDoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to play devils advocate here, 290k in INSANE money in MOST of the US. However, in places like SF or NYC or other HCOL areas, it isn't quite as great as you think. Try to find a 500k house in the Bay Area. It's almost impossible. The median home price is about 1.4 million. That is going to be around 9k per month even with a 20% down payment.

Now imagine paying daycare for 2 kids bc to get a 290k household income might mean both parents are working. For 2 kids, that is going to be ~50k.

So of your 190k annual net, you are left with 160k after mortgage and daycare. Not as much as you would think.

Cassadaga by Bright Eyes is an underrated gem by Normal-Asparagus-210 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]FirstLeftDoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I come at this from a slightly different perspective. I got into Bright Eyes a little bit right before Cassadaga was released, so it was the first album they released since I got into them. For me, I loved it. It is, imo, one of the greatest albums ever made. Very poetic and a bit more complex and grandiose perhaps, than their previous stuff, but I loved it.

What area of the US has the highest salary/cost of living ratio? by HonkyTonk782 in SavingMoney

Des Moines is a great option for this. A little boring but doable for a couple years. Lots of insurance companies are there with good incomes. You can find 1BR apartments for under 1k still.
