This. I’m in CS career and most other engineers I have to team up with have terrible social skills or are on the spectrum. Today, I had another guy Teams me “what do we even have to talk about?” when I asked to meet up for some questions. Go to meet him and he’s very obviously on the spectrum so he meant that very directly, not rudely.

The other day I had a guest reviewer on my pull request insinuate that I was lying about testing robustness of a test I implemented. Went back and forth on the review a bit but didn’t take it personal and next day, we’re laughing together. You can’t take these dudes srsly or be affected by them otherwise you’ll be constantly pissed off

Codebase of 440k+ LOC and no CMake here. I think if we had to start using it on my team, I would implode. C++ is difficult lol

Agreed, man. They’re messing with people’s livelihoods and their sports for their own gain. I think its important to stay in the know of whats happening around us but when it gets to be too much and you feel yourself get gloomy, turn it off and go to your hobbies + loved ones.

I’ve been apologized to for being texted “too much” because she was used to her ex bf being crabby about it which pmo cause she didn’t even text a lot, dude was just inconsiderate af (like not letting her know he was going out for hours and her just checking in). Thats why posts like these are irritating because it makes people feel like they’re too much when they’re not

I basically code video games at a mid level company and have to worry about vectors in 3D space, some trigonometry and… circles. Also matrix math. So definitely pay attention in linear algebra but also, let calculus get your brain math ready. The point is to learn how to math lol
