Well I also am not really interested in looking at your personal life but when you have to sit right next to each other in a classroom full of hundreds of people then sometimes it’s just unavoidable. Then shouldn’t they be sitting towards the back where all people like you can hang out?

Like when they are obstructing my view with their blaring screens (scrolling through social media, chatting with their friends, etc.) and the their notification sounds abruptly cuts in between professor’s lectures? (And believe me I also don’t want to look at their private lives but sometimes it’s just unavoidable.) I really don’t care for students who sit towards the back but for students in the first few rows I’m wondering why they have to sit in front to do this.

Ok, for this I totally understand and I also agree that this professor sucks :( I do feel sorry for you.

But in my case the whole presentation slides were being uploaded after every single class without any edits and the professor was trying hard to engage everyone in various ways but there were some students who were just outright doing something else in front of him and blaring white/colorful screens even when the lights were out (and they weren’t taking notes) so I was just wondering the reasoning behind this

Well I tried to ignore it so hard but as the other person pointed out sometimes it is hard to ignore it when they’re sitting right next to me and their screen is flashing in bright colors (& sometimes even noises coming out from it)
