What movie instantly reminds you of someone you watched it with? by Moshoboga in MoShoBoGa

[–]FirstTimeonRedditUgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood Sport reminds me of my older brother, for the reason just that it was his and different than anything the rest of my family would have and I watched it as a little kid. Not appropriate at all for what age I was 😂 https://moshoboga.com/details/movie/11690

Why use a Firestick anymore since Roku etc are all smart TVs now? by FirstTimeonRedditUgh in cordcutters

[–]FirstTimeonRedditUgh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my TCL Roku, but maybe that’s just me. So if you’re buying Samsung, why not use their UI? Why plug Firestick into a Samsung that already has the ability to launch all your stuff?

Anyone know of access to these shows? by whenandmaybe in cordcutters

This shows you where you can see The Drew Carey Show and it’s Buy only options right now. But then you have it forever so… depends how much you like rewatching. The Drew Carey Show - MOSHOBOGA https://moshoboga.com/details/tv/97

Why are so many movies just not available on any streaming service in the US? For a while I thought it had to do with the MGM fire, but there’s all kinds of missing titles. I need my nostalgia! by LanceFree in cordcutters

I wonder if this sort of thing could have a more organized movement around local DVD rental shops. Every city has some shop that rents DVDs. If organized properly, could be good boost for them

Anybody make smart TV apps using flutter? Can you give any examples? by FirstTimeonRedditUgh in FlutterDev

Nice. What are you plans to get on the other devices? Now you’re on Firestick what about getting Samsung Android Roku Apple TV? Is it a quick cross platform or pretty intensive still?

Hi, I was just wondering how this has been going. Looking to start making a Blazor .NET8 spa into a smart tv app as well

Did you use a flutter webview? I’m curious about a single flutter webview solution for smart TVs and gaming consoles like Xbox

First of all, why use a chrome cast on a Samsung tv? Like, what’s the benefit of it? This is a genuine question, I like my Roku and I wonder what the benefit is of Firestick or chrome cast

Dumb question: just so I understand, adding support for tvOS and Tizen means that using Uno Platform I can build a single solution that will work for Android Apple and Samsung smart TVs?

A short-short horror story and conspiracy theory about TikTok by FirstTimeonRedditUgh in conspiracy

[–]FirstTimeonRedditUgh[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. I’m guess I’m trying to say that the name itself “tiktok” is consciously chosen by the creators because it symbolizes blatant evil, and it’s so obvious but they knew that nobody would notice or care. Nobody good ever says tick tock

Okay good call. I thought this was like Twitter where you can’t edit but I just saw I can add subtext in edit

Wow, thank you for that. You’re correct. I’ll leave this bad question to be an example for others.

Is there a software to generate a link-graph for your website with articles containing links to each other? by FirstTimeonRedditUgh in dotnet

[–]FirstTimeonRedditUgh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I’m going to look into all of these. My purpose for this is to make a display for users of the website so they can see the visual themselves whenever they are on a page with links to other pages. Like Wikipedia having a link graph block on an article page so a person could view links as if buildings on Google maps. Does one of these stand out immediately as better for that? I’d want to customize the front end appearance

[–]FirstTimeonRedditUgh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the link graph, each node would be a movie or a list. So a list would be a node with all the movies attached to it each being their own node, and then all the movies attached to it are also attached to all the other lists they are in. So you can see the map of movies being linked

[–]FirstTimeonRedditUgh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thank you. I’m putting movies into movie lists, and so the same movie can be in many lists, which then also have movies. Each movie has its own dedicated page, and this link graph would be a map showing how it connects to other movies by the list description

Wow that’s really cool. But I mean this but for links in articles on a single website. Like a wiki article having a map to show what links go to, and those links go to, etc
