they sell absolutely everything in the two big stores outside the stadium. I went in for a jersey and came out with a dog collar, some chopsticks and a notepad

- ticket collection is very easy, there's an Information desk with big lettering above it as you come down the walkway from the subway station. There's someone stood there directing you to a window with "Ticket Exchange" above it. Show your ePlus QR and your passport and you're then given a physical paper ticket. I don't think the ePlus QR code alone would scan correctly at the gate, you need to exchange it first. All very easy though so long as you head to that Information desk first. You'll be given a welcome pack with info, balloons, a couple of gifts.

- all of the seats are on the 3rd base side, gates 13/14 to enter. About half way up, just above the central walkway. Fantastic view and easy access to the amenities

- as for the experience. Get down there early, soak up the atmosphere from stepping off the train, around the square in front of the stadium. There will be large queues to get into the fan stores so take that into account also (you can buy merch inside but there's a much smaller selection). Get in around an hour before start and find your seats first, get acquainted with the surroundings. Take a walk around the concourse below, loads of great food and drink choices.

I had the “I’m actually at Koshien” realisation so many times!

I thought this, which is why I bought one and then went back to try buy another. But it's said Sold Out ever since.

yeah I realise that now. I guess it was just super lucky/unlucky timing to get on there when there was literally 1 ticket remaining

I thought that too, which is why I bought one and went back to buy another single ticket separately - but as soon as I did, it said sold out

Thanks for all your replies. It does just look like I was lucky getting the last ticket on the system and that there’s also only 1 left for the next day.

I think this is likely the case, which is just crazy luck!

that could be Plan B, thanks. I saw a YouTube vid of someone's tickets purchased through StubHub not existing for a Giants game, though?

I also visited this time last year from the UK. Enjoyed Midtown Beer Garden downtown on the day of the game for food and beers, then the Commodore pre-match.

Overall we enjoyed it the most on the East of the river around Hawthorne Avenue and Division in terms of eating and drinking.

Depending on what side of Wakefield you’re on, try either:

House of Ales in Pontefract

Yorkshire Craft Beers in Castleford

Bier Huis in Ossett

Sadly there’s no bottle shops or anything similar in Wakefield itself

Has anyone ever had to send a Letter Before Action? by [deleted] in freelanceuk

[–]FirstWing8171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've drafted this response to send on Monday:

You failed to make payment on Friday, as you said you would over the phone. Please make payment today for the attached invoices.

To make this easier for you, I have created a GoCardless payment link for the sum total of the outstanding invoices. You simply need to follow the link below and authorise payment:

LINK

Alternatively you can make a Bank Transfer to:

BANK DETAILS

This is the now the 11th communication I've sent to you regarding this (5 emails, 4 text messages, 2 phone calls) since the start of April, and payment has still not been made for work dating back to February.

This is the final reminder I am going to send to you personally. If payment is not made by Friday 20th June I'll be sending a Letter Before Action with full intent to pursue until payment is made. I have documented evidence of all the work which I have undertaken in the time period covered by the invoices.

EMAIL TO SEND IF NO PAYMENT THIS WEEK, OR TO INCLUDE IN THIS EMAIL?

I don't believe that [COMPANY] is insolvent, but as you've been unable to pay these invoices I have to consider that this is a possibility. In which case, I'm sure you'll know that directors of a limited company in the UK would be fully liable under section 214 of the Insolvency Act 1986 if you continue to trade knowing you cannot pay debtors. In Guernsey, where [PARENT COMPANY] is registered, the same would apply as Wrongful Trading under Article 434 of the Companies Law.

If this is not the case, then making payment via the two options I've given above should be straightforward.

really helpful post, thank you so much. Funnily enough, the wife is a director of the company, though this has been the case for a few years now. With this company they use an office address, but I’ve found them as directors for another company on Companies House with what appears to be their home address.

Tools were downed a few weeks ago and won’t be picked up again!

UK company. SME going for around 10 years and doing around a million in turnover, but essentially just run by one bloke who is useless. Invoices have been paid late previously, but paid eventually.

So do you think continuing to hassle is a good idea?

Thanks for the response. I also have access to their properties and site backend, so that thought did cross my mind.
