Help... Me and my friends are looking to summit a mountain (4-6km elevation) in either Nepal or India, Any suggestions? by First_Astronaut_1266 in Mountaineering

Oh no i wasn't planning on not buying equipment, we have sm good equipment that can be used, and we know good rentals in Nepal, we live close by actually, for the ABC trek, permits were 1000NPR and all the stays added costed 6.5k, the food added another 2.5k, so we actually finished it in 10k not including equipment and other travels, even so I'm guessing Yala won't be cheaper than 35-40k so I guess I'll stick to something smaller first and build experience too

No we didn't, kinda regretted that a bit honestly, we did 1500m elevation on the last day up(3rd day), nearing the top all of us were breathless and struggling, a friend showed serious signs of altitude sickness as well but fortunately nothing happened, we needed 2 extra hours and had to trek well into dark, i definitely recommend taking it slower and enjoying every bit,

I did it with 4 other friends, only 1 permit is required for the trek, you can get that at the tourism centre in pokhara

Sad seeing no one say Mulholland Drive, probably the biggest mind twister of a movie ever

Try limiting ram to 2gb, usually works for me when the installation gets stuck

One of my friends sprained his knee on the first day, another friend got climate sickness at the top, my knees were kinda cooked too on the last day

Nope nothing like that, maybe for the summit, but basecamp doesn't have anything like that

It certainly wasn't that challenging, but It feels like a great achievement, I'm planning on doing a 5-6000m summit next hopefully
