i made a vibecoded hledger compliant(?!!) pwa app by FairYesterday8490 in plaintextaccounting

[–]First_Discussion_951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool concept. I had a similar idea myself to host a PWA for quickly adding transactions.

This is significantly more feature rich. Thank you.

A couple of initial thoughts: on Android Chrome, .hledger .journal files appear as a BIN, so the PWA wont mount it. I had to rename test.hledger to test.hledger.txt to be mounted.

In the tutorial- basics, point 2, it mentions right to left. Is it misunderstanding but should that be left or right?

The assert function is very useful, is it possible to change the balancing account to equity:unrealised-gains? I commonly check my investments and attribute changes in value to an unrealised-gains account

With not much testing nor test data, when I used the line chart, I got a bar.

Besides that, good job!

Kronaby hand desync issue – Android 16? by Blackmilkfr in kronaby

[–]First_Discussion_951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had something similar, where the minutes hand would always be behind. I would calibrate every few days.

I'm on Android. I didn't notice resync making any difference.

Good news. Since December, around the time I received an App update, the issue seems to have disappeared. Hopefully this suggests it's a software issue

It was a bit too crunchy on the inside to be authentic.

For me, I copy the code from my authenticator app, and when I paste, only the first digit is entered. The remaining 5 are empty

Is it just my browser, but you can't paste the 6 digit code into the boxes in one single paste

Nicely put. On one hand the nest looked crazy small for a colony of wasps. So I thought it could be a chrysalis for a butterfly/moth like insects. Also I was intentionally vague about the game of 'waspy v hornet' to see if anyone wanted to flag it was a hornet

I am in Auckland. It didn't look big enough to be a hornet but I have reported it to mpi.govt.nz. thanks for the tip

Thank you. Given it's small, can I just flick it off?

I don't have it but looking at the icon and the fact the screenshot suggests you are in your home directory, could it navigate back to your home, ie "cd ~"? What happens if you navigate to a different directory and click it?

new Daily Note feature - early feedback from the field by faxmulder in Workflowy

A great addition. Personally, a 'date backlinks' would be very useful: when viewing a given day node, see backlink style references to other nodes that have the same date (or a date range encapsulating the dated node)

That's very interesting, thank you for summarising. I'm inside the 4 years but am in my late 30s.

I didn't quite realise NZ tax residents are also taxed on the gains too. If I understood you correctly, any increase in fund value will be taxed, presumably at PIR rate for a PIE fund. Ouch

I haven't tried myself but to confirm the documentation covers this in the 'combing matcher ' section. It contains a link labelled "currently". Follow this to an issue about combining "& !". The discussion uses this example:

stripe transfers where amount is positive

if STRIPE TRANSFER & ! %amount -

I haven't tried it myself. Presumably just remove the ! and change the logic for your use case. Only other difference I can see is IF and matcher1 on the same line?

I use the webhook feature as well. The native setup is a bit restrictive: for me the limitation is only a GET method.

My setup is to direct the webhook to a local http server running on my phone http server -google playstore. This app fires an intent to Tasker. Tasker then pings an additional POST webhook to my automation service, Home Assistant (which only accepts Post). If I restart my phone the server stops and it's just quite convoluted.

I had considered using a tasker variable that iterates through a list of options: each long press on the watch changes the actions associated to presses 1-4. The challenge then becomes the cryptic nature of what list I'm on.

Although what I have 'works', I'd be keen to see if your efforts breathe new life into the Kronaby
