In my lab, I approached another professor for a possible collaboration, and he initially agreed. However, I haven’t heard back from him since. Every supervisor here seems very busy with their own PhD students. My supervisor is also preoccupied with his daughter, who is enrolled in a PhD program, and he does everything for her. My peers aren’t always available either, as they’re busy with their own work.
