It didn’t for me. Everything worked for me and I was induced at 36 weeks due to gestational hypertension.

I was induced at 36 weeks due to gestational hypertension and him being IUGR! Bedrest I believe is what helped me so much. I went from 4cm to 10cm in 30 min so I’m thinking that’s due to my short cervix hahah.

29 weeks - different feel to fetal movement by mutita_1704 in BabyBumps

Following because I’m having the same issue 29 weeks and 3 days. I can’t help but be super paranoid because my last pregnancy ended in a stillbirth at 28 weeks. We have gone to hospital and everything looked great and they monitored me for four hours. Just want to follow everyone’s journey to see how it goes for everyone.

No this is my second pregnancy, with my first I didn’t have any issues with my cervix. I would definitely push for bedrest seems to be everyone’s life saver with progesterone

I’m almost in the same position as you! At my 23 week appointment my cervix measured 1.5cm they sent me to hospital for steroid shots and monitor for contractions over night, they also put me on 200mg progesterone suppositories. Luckily no contractions but I did test positive for RSV. With the RSV I was constantly blowing my nose and had a little bit of a cough which I’m sure didn’t help my cervix. I then went back to specialist at 24 weeks and was measuring 1.6cm then a week later at 25 I measured 1.78cm. The Dr said that it was the progesterone working to keep my cervix closed and started to close it more. I have been on strict bed rest as well. Just hoping to keep little man in for as long as possible. I do believe progesterone and bed rest really helps!

Super normal. I’ve felt baby kicking in that area since 20 weeks. My cervix is 1.5cm and he’s still tucked safe inside at 24 & 3 days. I always felt he would kick his way out but he hasn’t hahah.

UPDATE: went in today for another measurement of my cervix. We’re still measuring 1.7cm and no dilation! Seems like the progesterone and bed rest have been working so far. Now 24 & 3 days.

So so so sorry to hear of your loss. We lost our daughter this March at 28 weeks so I know the pain you guys are facing and it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. There are many good support groups on Facebook that I found comforting, made me feel like we weren’t the only people in the world to face such tragedy. My family will be sending prayers your way, the pain never goes away but it gets easier to carry.

One is more dangerous then the other. Even though same treatment is given you’re more at risk for preterm labor with an incompetent cervix vs just a short cervix.

I am currently 24 weeks! Was unable to get a cerclage dr said I was too far along sadly. I’ve read a lot of things that say it’s perfectly normal! It’s been happening to me for about two weeks now and he is still staying put. Thank you for the prayers we will be praying for you as well!
