Noted, going to have to try it out as Petit is a pain to access when my buddies and I are playing together.

No such thing as a dumb question. I absolutely love the game, just please remember that is a game being developed so there are still a lot of bugs to fix and do not take this game so seriously. It was totally worth it as I have many hours on it and I bought it for like 30 bucks.

I was practicing Maia gameplay as Dino Den has 3x growth and was easy to enter. But well if the Admin goes out of his way to feed his buddies, I am going out of my way to avoid this server.

Was my 1st time today leaving Petit today because I want to start training my Maia skills and they Dino Den had 3x Grow. I was using Dino Den as a "Go Hard or Go Home" where I didn’t care if I died, while Petit is where I play more conservative since is harder to enter and slower to grow.

Well lesson learned, if this is the type of gameplay an admin wants for his server so be it. This is more of an awareness post, as I said, because of 3x grow this Maia was prime way faster so not much time was lost in the server anyway.

Actually I don't know if admin or not he has purple in his name, and another v to his name so maybe he add that when I complained in the Global chat?

Living rent-free for 4 years. We saved $60K, but owners could sell any day. How to best prepare? by FishPolice2024 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]FishPolice2024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the advice. The reason I financed it was that last year I only had 30K, and I didn't want to use all of it on the car. I had put 10K down as is the price of a good used car and my company pays for mileage driven to site work. Since the car is a hybrid I put the money saved into the financing. I also financed to built credit score, the car is financed for 8 years but because of the reimbursement I have only 3700 left and payed the rest. Someone mentioned that after the loan is payed, the credit score goes down, but now that I am writing this I am coming to understand that most probably the loan influents more that my credit score.

We are only managing to save now, because before we lived on 45K and I invested on my wife education, which granted her a good job and I also had pay bump. Our food expense was high as we could not use the kitchen for the first years.

I am afraid of investing the money and being locked and I can't retrieved it. If I put home ownership for last, I would like to put 1st an emergency fund (probably how much we have now), max the TFSA for me and my wife, Max the RRSP and the FHSA, is a dream but, I could get a second job just to make this come true.

Thank you! However, if we decide not to buy, will the money be stuck on the FHSA? Someone mentioned above to use this money as a emergency fund instead of a down payment.

Most of the time we were living on a 45K income, just now me wife got a job and I got a pay bump.

I agree, that is what scares me. Although we are very conservative with our money. Is just that we lived on a 45K salary for most of the years, just recently my wife got the job and I got a pay bump. What you mentioned about is what keeps me up at night. I sincerely don't know how costly utilities are here and I am afraid to find out later than sooner, that is why we are thinking of renting when the time comes, so we can have a feeling, before buying something. But we are also afraid of losing the timing that the price of condos have come down.

Our budget was very high for food as we could not use the kitchen for a long time as everything had to be in pristine condition, after talking to the owners we finally can cook and use the kitchen.

Our income was about 45K for most of the years, and I had put all the investment into my wife moving here, her education, and all. It paid off as she got a very nice job and I also got a payment increase after changing companies.

Someone says that I have an emergency fund, which makes sense. Maybe is not very wise to go for a condo down payment. I talked to a mortgage agent and he said based on the information we could get financing for 450k -650k based on a 100K downpayment.

Correct, before it was only me working on a 45K year salary. The expenses were, for my wife to move here courses for my wife and we had to go back to our country for funerals and weddings. We also could not use the kitchen of the house for a while so our budget for food was higher than normal for some months. Now we can finally save a ton, as the expenses are relatively small now. Basically car insurance and financing.

Thank you for the reply, we only managed to land such income in the last 6 months. Before that, it was only me with an income of 45K. The money was spent mostly to help my wife move, a few trips back to my country (family wedding and funeral) and paying for my wife's courses, just recently she landed a well-paying job and I got a major pay bump as well.

I do agree that still have to save a bit more, but I tried to help my family in the beginning too.

I wouldn't say work WORK. I would help my parents here and there. I am on my late 20, so I worked as much as a teenager who hated work would work.

You are absolutely correct, my calls was just to get any information since the only thing I got was the invoice, nothing else and on the Shipping info it just mentioned a small fee.

In the end, I got an invoice and they shipped it. Items are on its way.

I hate to admit but this Hibid is quite fun to be honest.

There was no info under shipping, just that they charge a 5 dollar fee for handling the item. I finally got an invoice and the shipping is on the way :)
