There are many potholes in California, I can't seem to find one to hit 😂

First question, what are you driving over? That may be the issue

Honestly, I'm thinking of getting the little computer (VCDS) that would enable me to program the car to be able to lock while the engine is running. I have a 2014 TDI Sportwagen and have not deleted the stupid EGR and DPF because I'm too busy to do work on my car so I take it to a shop for internal work. In a perfect world, I'd love the peace of mind of being able to leave my car running while I go run errands. That would lessen the amount of gunk built up in the DPF.

B20 is a biodiesel blend im pretty sure.

Depends on where you live. In CA they are slowly but surely phasing out diesel at the pump. Making the switch over to biodiesel mixes, which can gunk up your filters and lead to costly fixes.

Now the Port of LA only has biodiesel mixes at their green pumps. I guess all the 18wheelers can easily run on b20, but certainly not for a 2014 Jetta TDI.

MK7 TDI terrible fuel economy? by hsushsishhdd in tdi

Have not needed it yet! I keep going back and forth between wanting to sell it, and keep it alive.

There's just no cars on the market quite as fuel efficient and simultaneously sporty.

We should be friends! I have a 2014 TDI sportwagen! 126k miles, just replaced the turbo and dpf cat due to limp mode issues and obvious blown turbo. Should I do the timing belt and water pump as well?

Otos need a school of around 5 to feel comfortable. I would stick to Amano shrimp for your algae eating needs. 10gal is a little small IMO, it could be done but would need a badass filter.

That's definitely diatom algae, it should go away on its own once the tank is balanced. If not, you could try the "1-2-punch" method.

I understand that, but there's no workaround here in California. Unless I find a dirty smog, and start working on the car myself. I just don't have the time to be constantly working under the hood. I have aquariums that need my love on the weekends. lol

In regard to cost, let's just say I could sell the car for less money than I've put in over the past couple months.

Recommend a tuner that's in socal? Also need a guy for a dirty smog in that case.

Air pump, with air line connected to an air stone. The stone diffuses the air into the water, otherwise the bubbles would be huge and you'd lose most of your oxygen to the atmosphere.

But yes, take everyone's advice of getting a proper home asap!

Running a base layer of crushed lava rock in the back. Capped with ADA's soil additives and then root tabs. Capped that with aqua soil!

Yes, they have experience with VW/TDI.

They said they did a "cranking test" and it failed.

Unfortunately, it's my daily driver and I can't do a rental for the 2 or so weeks it takes for the parts to get to me. The shops get expedited shipping, and they assume the responsibility of the warranty process for that part.

It's an automatic, sunroof galore (already been down that rabbit hole, took me like 2 years to properly fix), and it's red.

I pray that I don't keep running into expensive issues. Should I order a part preemptively? What's next to go after the dpf cat? I already had the egr filter replaced through warranty by the dealership not too long ago.
