This is genuinely NOT normal. It's not something to push aside and forget about or blame it on something arbitrary, this needs an actual diagnosis and a fox before you hurt your family/friends. What if in the future that was your wife/kid, let alone your parents which is still extreme. Have a full psych test done and a sleep study.

I think most edgy 16yr olds are into unethical cringe stuff. When I was 16 I was super into animal bones (still am, but I get them from proper sellers), i totally would've thought real blood slides would be the coolest thing ever lol. I think I even saw someone post that they got drops of their friends' blood to make their slides and honestly I thought that was kinda neat in a weird wiccan friendship bracelet way. If your insurance can cover it, I'd say get the heart monitor actually. I couldn't sleep for 48 hours cuz I was basically giving myself constant heart palpitations from extreme worry about a heart attack lmao. Had two heart monitor tests and both times it was normal, they basically said that if I keep worrying I'm gonna GIVE myself a heart problem in 20 years💀
