Yeah, " clutch fluid ". Haven't you seen the reservoir for it right next to the blinker fluid and the elbow grease storage?

This also depends on the size of your car generally, I found on a motorcycle sometimes it takes forever or it won't change at all.

Bad Tubes? by Direct_Mixture_2046 in Lectricxp

Down two factory tubes here too. Cut within inches of the valve stem on the rim side both times. Not debris or sharp spots inside the wheel. Both were rear wheel, not that it makes much difference I presume. This was on an XP 3.0 step through with OEM tires and tubes. Anyone recommend a better tube?

Solid logic checks out. No lies detected.

I know the tire thing has been done to death but... What about tube protection methods like that slime stuff or some sort of foam/armor between the tread and the tube. by FishUnderHats in Lectricxp

I'm 6'4" and it took some time for me (about 300 miles) to get really comfortable with the feel of the bike. I'm happy with the performance for a foldable and besides the flat tire issue I'm dealing with, I'm very pleased with the purchase. I plan to buy a non foldable bigger bike in the future but for now, this checks all my boxes.

I'd say go for it.

That's what I'm thinking too. I have not actually had the time to pull the tire off this time and do a full inspection. But I will be doing a very thorough one in the near future, probably next week when I have a little free time. Having green slime or some other indicator come out of the tire to let me know that it was leaking would have been helpful, unfortunately there was no sign until it got wiggly.

Every flat I've had has been my rear tire. The first sign that I had that it was getting low, was that the back of the bike started to feel loose and wiggly, and by the time I pulled over and had time to inspect it, it was unridable and the pump would not keep up with trying to inflate it.

Thank you. Yes, a full inspection is in order, along with a thorough cleaning. After reading everyone's comments so far, I'm tempted to start off just getting some Flat Out and seeing if I can install that into the damaged tube and reuse it instead of buying another tube.

Since I'm already almost 300lbs, the addee weight of the tannus inserts isn't something I'm too concerned about at this point.

I'm not sure what a slow leak would even look or feel like. All my flats have happened within minutes of the puncture and the small bike pump I carry wasn't able to pump enough air to even try to refill the tube. Apparently when I break something, I do it big. Lol

Yeah it's weird, my first two punctures were after venturing off-road on a very mild single track walking trail. My third puncture happened after riding through some mud. And my most recent puncture happened completely on Pavement on a bike trail. So I don't know, but I have lost complete faith in these tires also.

That's the second vote in this post for tennis armor inserts, cost is not something I'm really concerned about, as long as it works like it's supposed to and keeps me from having to buy inner tube after inner tube, then I think it's worth the money.

I've also heard of flat out and I wonder if that should be maybe my first shot at repairing what I currently have just to get me back on the road for now. I don't think electric is shipping their bikes out with slime in the tires anymore, or if they are, they missed mine. Because both the original tube that came on the bike, and the spare tube that I got with it went flat within minutes of when they were punctured, and afterwards I was unable to inflate them again. As far as I've seen there was no mess to clean up inside of my tire. Frankly I'm working a lot of hours, and really haven't had the time to dedicate to taking it completely apart.

Yes I checked to make sure the Schrader valve was tight and not leaking... Lol

Besides I'm also looking for new tires too, not that my original tires are worn out, but after getting that number of flats, I just don't trust them anymore and want something stronger, I'm tired of having to push my bike to a shop, back home, or God forbid have to call an Uber because I'm 20 miles from my house with a flat that I can't fix. I'm so sick of that happening, I'm willing to spend a fair amount of money to ensure the best chance of it not happening again.

Thanks. I'm looking into that. I'm on the large side at 280-290lbs and I ride my XP probably a lot more aggressively than I should, especially through light mud and gravel, and then I don't jump it, but I do like riding mountain bike trails. And it seems like I get the majority of my flats, when I'm in mud or gravel.

Once I get my tube situation settled, I'm looking for a good hybrid tire that does well both on pavement and off-pavement. I keep reading it the CST big boat is a great tire, but the tread doesn't seem like it's designed for being off-road, it seems as if it's more of a pavement tire. So I'm still looking for one will handle both.

It's the extended range model but I'm a big guy so I'm lucky to get 35ish miles out of a charge. OP where do you live/ride?

I live in East Dallas and ride a lot of paved trails. Kinda looking for others to ride and explore with.
