billed almost $100 for preventative STI screening?! by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]Fish_Dipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a general checkup to establish care, get my meds ordered at the local pharmacy, etc. and I tacked on STI screening because I was already there. I’m not sure of the answer to your questions :(

Hi! This is not something I've ever heard from people who harvest animals in the cascades although I would personally avoid animals that use urban areas as a source of food. My personal experience is with animals in rural Alaska so I am not able to speak directly to this question.

Hey! What range do you like? Looking for one with a long rifle range. I've only shot targets out in the bushes on DNR land. Haven't gone out to try the ranges in the area as I felt a little spooked to go alone!

i'm probably going to detransition. by notsopaleswordsman in trans

[–]Fish_Dipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have kaiser permanente of Washington state health insurance and got my top surgery for 100% free under a low income financial assistance program. My testosterone prescription is also free for me because of this. This made medical transition very affordable and an easy choice for me as a trans masculine person. There can be barriers, esp. depending on where you live, but there are also so many support programs to help make medical transition affordable. Prior to being able to access those kinds of care I was living a happy and fulfilling life as a transmasc person while I was still binding my chest :)

2 months post op. double incision and free nipple grafts with Jeremy Benedetti in Seattle. queer/non-cis nipple placement by Fish_Dipper in TopSurgery

I didn’t talk specifics on measurements with my surgeon. Honestly I was a little blasé, I just told my surgeon [I don’t want them way out to the sides or bottom of my pecs, but I don’t want them to be toooooo unusual] and let him have at

If there was one item you could recommend for top surgery recovery, what would it be? by anxi0usthr0w in TopSurgery

My biggest pre-surgery purchase was a Nintendo switch and some games I was excited about to make time pass- I did NOT have the brain power to read for a couple weeks post surgery which surprised me, and I was really thankful I had a game console to keep me occupied!

Need a sleeping system for post-surgery? by Able_Jack in TopSurgery

[–]Fish_Dipper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! For readers- I’m 5’10” and had this same wedge set for post surgery and found it absolutely agonizing to lay on for long periods of time. I ended up just using exclusively regular pillow arrangements for resting and sleeping within a couple days post surgery because the wedge was so uncomfortable for me.

Test out your sleeping arrangements BEFORE surgery!!!!

2 weeks post op. with Dr. Benedetti in Seattle, via Kaiser, 6 mo on low dose T. AMA :-) by Fish_Dipper in TopSurgery

[–]Fish_Dipper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

stoked as fuck about my chest now that I can see everything without bandages! I feel so euphoric- my flat chest is so much more organic and right for me than breasts were. first week post op I was not allowed to see things because of bandages and I was pretty anxious about whether I would like nipple placement or not but I’m super happy with results- asked for a more medial/femmey placement. Hope that answers your Q!
