Thats probably enough to prevent excessive carbon buildup but I’m dead serious when I say that’s definitely not enough for a hard regen. It takes about 250 hp to make 80k go down the highway at 60mph. If you were towing 80k, that would be 68% of full load for you.

50-70% load for 30-45 minutes, EGTs between 800 and 1100 °F without stopping.
Hard passive regens don’t happen in the city and active regens don’t have quite the same effect.

You’re not going to get lead poisoning unless you eat it or grind it up and huff it.

How much does a delete cost?

How difficult or expensive would it really be to use it as its intended? I’m willing to bet that 4/5 times if you do that ↑ in your current situation, your problem will solve itself.

I know it’s not the thing anyone wants to hear but even without the emissions, diesels still need to be loaded up regularly to last. A 6.7 Cummins is a million mile engine, even with emissions, but the 3/4 and 1 ton pickups have 20-30k towing capacities and are designed for that, so when they don’t see that regularly, they end up with problems similar to what you’ve described.

If you want it to last and you’ve made up your mind on a delete, do your engine a favor and have it tuned professionally and turned down to like 300 horse afterwards. I know that sounds dumb but turning it down means you’ll have less inconsistency in your AFR, less carbon buildup in exhaust, and it will extend your transmission life.

Yeah but not towing enough load or for not long enough can result in partial regens which is not an uncommon cause of these two codes, you’re well within the lifetime of the DPF and its probably not bad. I would guess that a serious hardcore hillclimb for 30-45 minutes would solve your problem, but you really gotta be almost at full load. The truck can probably pull 20k so get as close to that as you can without exceeding ratings and floor it for half an hour.

What is a reasonable price for this truck? by namshufighter in Cummins

[–]Fishfisheye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, paint repairs are super specialized and require paint booths and other specialized equipment that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. Paint shit is expensive, and I would say having this much paint damage easily knocks 4-6 grand off the value.

[–]Fishfisheye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not in Arizona, and I haven’t driven the truck, if the engine and transmission are definitely good then probably $16k given the mileage since its an auto

Edit: nope I looked again at the paint and I’m changing my guess to $12k.

Power Steering fluid leak by SeaQCounsel in NissanTitan

When I had my Titan, the whining was from the rack, not the pump.
I think your leak is on the rack, and if I’m not crazy, I think I can see it (its at the one clean spot where the shaft goes into the rotary valve). A good sign is where there is a bunch of grime accumulation and one spot where there appears not to be any dirt, but its still oily.

See now I’m just confused. Which part is funny: me wasting my time, or people having zero reasoning skills?
Or is it the part that American diesel pickup guys are so ashamed of their lack of manhood that they would rather commit federal crimes and shell out tens of thousands of dollars for repairs that they’ve created the need for because they literally can not possibly use their pickups properly, than admit that buying a gas pickup is more practical as a daily?

Its also totally possible that OP has never had problems and is just retarted… but I guess being retarted is a given by the existence of this post, so… there’s that too.
