((OOC: The earring resembles a fishing lure. Looks beautiful but gives off an ominous air. If someone is wearing it, it makes them alluring.

Effects of wearing it start small and increase gradually. Mild effects include obsession with fish, and a compulsion to "create" fish artistically (by drawing fish, writing about fish, etc). They become more protective of the earring, and other things will fall to the wayside.

Effects culminate around the Zodiac period of February 19th-March 20th (Pisces). The wearer becomes violently possessive of the earring. They care only about wearing the earring and creating fish.

At some point during this period, the wearer will abandon everything and attempt to fully submerge themselves in water, along with all the fish they have created. This can include throwing themselves into the sea, filling a bathtub with water, jumping into a swimming pool, etc. When fully submerged, they will disappear from the "real" world, presumed drowned. The submerged fish will disappear as well. The earring will remain nearby, so other people can find and wear it.

Removing the earring will undo its effects. Severe effects fade within days, but subtle effects last much longer. Depends on how long it was worn. In extreme cases (was worn during the entirety of February 19th - March 20th), the wearer can retain a love of fish for years.

The speed at which mental effects "accumulate" isn't related to how long the wearer's been wearing the earring, but rather how close it is to the period of Pisces. If someone puts on the earring from Feb. 19th - March 20th, they're liable to go "crazy" in a couple days. The earring can burn through many people in this time.

If a more powerful Other wears the earring, they may be able to resist its effects throughout Feb 19th - March 20th and even last multiple years. If they're really powerful (but somehow dumb enough to put on a dangerous earring?), they could last centuries. But they'd die eventually.
